While receiving information about our faith is beneficial, engaging with our faith is essential. Engaging in our faith can take many forms, included spending time with other Christians in prayer and discussion
Rules for Our Group: The Three General Rules of Methodism Do No Harm • We will not disrespect, dismiss, or judge in any way during these groups. • We will be respectful and understand that there are theological disagreements – disagreements do not negate relationships. • Nothing in these groups will be shared without the express permission of the person who shared the information. Do Good • We will choose to truly participate in the group – listen intently, respond thoughtfully, and speak openly about what we are thinking, feeling, and experiencing. • We choose to believe that our individual presence in this group matters. Our absence makes the group less than it could be. Attend Upon the Ordinances of God or Stay in Love With God • Not only do we hope to learn about our faith during this class and group, but we will also take time to experience our faith. Because of this, each week the group will share the Wesleyan covenant prayer together at the beginning of the group to set the tone for the rest of the session.
