CALI LOVE CALIFORNIA SPECIAL MAGAZINE SPECIAL EDITION HONORING OUR sPECIAL EDITION MUSTANGS
MAGAZINE
Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

JULIA RICHARDSON BADMULE - 2019 MUSTANG GT CALIFORNIA SPECIAL
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
Hello from Las Vegas!
My love affair with the Ford Mustang began 30 years ago when I purchased my first Mustang - a 1993 notchback Foxbody dubbed LILPONY. I have daily driven only Mustangs ever since with 2001, 2007, and 2019 models following the 1993.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
I first looked at purchasing a California Special in 2007 when Ford reintroduced the package. But due to the dealer markups, I purchased a regular premium GT and just dreamed about a modern GT/CS.
The BADMULE is my fourth Mustang and was purchased on New Year’s Eve (2019/2020). I was on the hunt after my 2007 GT was totaled in December of 2019 and the only new white premium GT in the Pacific and Mountain time zones happened to be a California Special at the Ford dealership about five miles from my house. I immediately headed to the dealership for a test drive and I did my best to control my excitement until after the papers were signed making this beautiful GT/CS mine. My California Special dream came true! This car is a blast to drive and I’m told all the time “Hey, I’ve seen this car before…” by complete strang -
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
ers! I love that these cars are so much fun to drive and that they are conversation and friendship starters. I have met so many people all because of my Mustangs. There are no modifications made to this car - she was perfect rolling out of the factory! Club affiliations include Mustang Mamas and California Special Worldwide Mustang Club - member #1464.
Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!

This is my 2008 Ford Mustang GT California Special (GT/ CS). I am the second owner. I purchased this about two months ago from the dealer that the original owner traded it in on for a 2023 GT/CS. It is 100% stock/original other than a Ford Performance air intake, muffler and tail pipe, and Ford Performance tuner, with 93 octane tune. It is now rated at 320 hp versus the factory 300 hp. I have the original window sticker and the car has been garaged since new.
I have always loved Mustangs since they first were introduced. I remember vividly the first one I had ever seen at age 11. I have owned a 84 1/2 20th Anniversary Convertible, 93 2.3L Convertible, 65 and 66 Convertibles, 98, 99, 03 Convertibles all yellow with white top/interiors, and a 04 Competition Orange convertible. I absolutely love this 08 GT/CS.
