HONORING OUR FANS AND THEIR MUSTANGS

M A G A Z I N E

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

I waited in a long line to have my photo taken like Steve McQueen from the Bullitt movie poster. I told my dad I was getting one this time around. After almost two years of looking and hemming and hawing, I found a new one at a local dealer and went determined to come home with it. In January of 2021, I traded my 2013 V6 Performance Package Mustang. I couldn’t believe I finally had my own special edition Bullitt Mustang! It was one of the last few made for the 2020 model year, number L3593. I enjoy taking it to car shows with my dad. The sound of the exhaust is incredible. In the spring of 2022, a joke turned serious and a friend from near Charlotte/NC sold me his California Special “Aimee”, which I had already known and admired from photos before. Then the long journey to Germany began until she finally arrived with us in September 2022. To this day I can hardly believe it and every trip is and remains something very special with this beauty. Mods include Eibach springs, Eibach track plates, EBC brakes, GT500 mufflers, K&N air intake, software update, blue LED interior lights, side window louvers, and a Boss 302 front splitter was delivered but not painted or installed yet.

EVERYTHING ON THE CAR IS GENUINE SALEEN. This is Bruce, my 2001 Mustang GT Saleen Clone. When I bought Bruce, he had been wrecked and had been sitting for five years. 11 weeks later, he was turning laps at Hallett Motorsports Park. Everything on the car is genuine Saleen. Future plans are to finish the paint work and add an Eaton M112 supercharger.

Ecoboost rather than a 5.0 because I wanted to have the one not a lot of people have. It is a reliable daily driver and I like what I have done to it so far. Maybe down the road I will look into getting a GT but I really don’t see the need to right now. My husband and I are avid car lovers and it’s because of him that I got into it. I would like to add more mods to the car itself ahead of the 2024 Mustangs at Daytona car show in July. The list includes a new set of wheels, full body wrap with my own custom color, and aftermarket headlights. Current mods include GT500 bumper conversion, carbon interior dash, carbon fiber steering wheel, Roush exhaust and intake, duckbill spoiler, stripes, and Adapted Performance engine cover.

grandfathers on both sides of my family were mechanics by trade and always had cars around that they were wrenching on when I was a kid. I decided it was time for me to own a hot rod and thought that a Mustang would be a great choice. I needed a car that was easy to daily drive because I don’t own trailer queens. I’m a hot driver for sure. I’ve logged 25k miles in first year of ownership of this car. I’ve owned several Mustangs over the last few years but I’ve settled very well into owning my 2011 which was of course the first year for the return of the 5 liter engine. It had 34,881 original miles with the interior all original and totally flawless. Everything worked; floor panels were solid and rust free. I don’t know why I walked away to look at others but it was meant to be mine when I took possession on August 10, 2009. I was able to insure the Mustang for $15,000 after buying it for $7500. In honor of my mother Grace who passed away, I named my Mustang after her by securing the plates ‘GRACE 66’ so she can enjoy the car and be with me always when I ride.

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself. The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own! Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!

had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows

Hard to think I’ve had this car for about two years now and in those two short years I’ve enjoyed every moment of owning her. I’ve also met a lot of new people along the way all because of this car. It has taught me that “grown up toys” are fun to play around with but also are very expensive. In the amount of time I’ve owned it I’ve done quite a few upgrades including long tube headers, dyno tuned, cold air intake, E85, practically a full bolt on car, and soon to be a 87/98mm big single turbo car!

She’s also a good representation of where I am in life right now; stronger, faster, bolder. I’m a firm believer that if cars are your passion, then your vehicle and the way you take care of it is a representation of yourself and also where you are in life.
