HONORING OUR FANS AND THEIR MUSTANGS

M A G A Z I N E

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

hasn’t really been a name that really stuck. I acquired this car in April of 2022. It has really been a slow work in progress since I use it as a daily driver. This is my first Mustang and I’m quickly learning the endless list of modifications that can be done to these cars. My family has had V8 muscle cars as long as I can remember, but the one that stood out to me the most was my grandparent’s yellow 1966 Mustang with a 289. I’ve always had a love for Mustangs. Now that I’ve owned one, I don’t see myself ever being without one. Modifications include Flowmaster exhaust, short throw shifter, BBK throttle body, cold air intake, 4:10 gears, staggered FR500 replica wheels, lowering springs, sequential tail lights, Pioneer touch screen radio, and LED lighting.

I bought the car from America in about 2008 from a dealer. It was supposed to have had a lot of work done, but it turned out that it was a mess and the engine was locked up. So began about 10 years of rebuild. The car has had extensive body work and strengthening done. Everything I have done myself in the garage at home. The only thing that was left was paint which was done by Viking Prestige Body Works in Varsity Lakes and interior trim was done by Greg Anderson at Spectrim. I had to make everything for the conversion as there wasn’t much available here in Australia for Mustangs. Car runs on 15x10 rims and 295 tires at the rear and fronts are 15x8 and 245 tires. I was wanting to keep the outside looking period

Roush lowering springs, upgraded suspension, Steeda intake, and full Borla exhaust. There were only 41 built in 2012. I have loved Mustangs as far back as I can remember. The first Mustang I really wanted was a Red 1966. I have had four Mustangs so far. The one I regret getting rid of the most is my 2001 GT. But in December 2021, my 2010 GT was totaled so when I went looking for another one I found the 2012 DUB Edition and knew that was the car I wanted. My Husband and I decided the name should be Mjolnir after Thor’s hammer. We just thought the name fit perfectly. With all the extras, it gets a lot of attention going down the road. With the 20 inch wheels and the Indgot Silver color that just shines in the sunlight, it is a real eye catcher.

The love for Mustangs comes from my dad who always had them growing up. The blue 68’ is his car from high school that we got back on the road a year ago after it sitting for 20+ years. We have unfortunately lost some due to financial reasons. This includes Fastbacks and a Mach 1 that we wish we still had. No real mods other than some new parts that needed replacing. The Blue 68’ I think was originally a 6 cylinder and my dad put a V8 302 in it and a small cherry bomb exhaust.

Then I got my 2019 Mustang GT that has been my dream car since. Since growing up with Mustang enthusiasts there was a family sport that they also got me into and that was Drag Racing. I have drag raced since the age of 16 with my first Mustang and have been doing ever since. The first mod that had to be done was to be loud and then the looks and you can’t forget about going faster. Since making my dream come true I always wanted the car to resemble me. I’ve owned a Trans Am, a Camaro, and a Charger. When I test drove this car, I fell in love with the ride and the sound of the Roush exhaust. I haven’t added any mods but I did upgrade the stereo, had Katskinz installed, and added the graphics myself. I will probably keep this car until I die.
