FOXBODY The Third-Gen MAGAZINE SPECIAL EDITION HONORING OUR SPECIAL EDITION MUSTANGS
MAGAZINE
Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
IT CRUISES NICE ON THE HIGHWAY...
This is my Mustang. It is an 85 LX. The car was stripped down to bare metal and I painted every nut, bolt, and washer and they are all new. The car was built by Meatball Fabrication on Long Island.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
rears. Just installed a Nitrous Express gemini plate and Leash progressive controller. All lights work and its driven on the street although I don’t take it out to often. It cruises nice on the highway with the overdrive.
It has a 540 cubic inch BBC motor mated to a brand new Freddy Brown 4l80 trans with Extreme auto internals and transbrake. It’s an Eagle forged crank and rods with Mahle 11/1 pistons, 800 solid roller cam, Jesel shaft rockers, bushed lifters, AFR 330s, and with a port matched profiler intake. An FST 1150 feeds the beast. Ignition is an MSD grid and controller along with launch control and arc traction control. It has a holley 7” stand alone dash and low dollar sensors for everything. It has an Autometer pro shift light, tubular k-frame, control arms in front and rear, 10 pt chromoly cage certed to 8.50, narrowed 8.8 with mini tubs, 35 spline Strange axles and a spool. Wheels are 17x4 Bogarts in the front and 15x12 weld Alumastars single beadlock

I ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO...
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
My name is Tahlia Sowers and this is my 1991 Mustang GT, Crickett! I named my car Crickett because of the shift kit it has; it’ll occasionally squeak when hitting the gas. It’s mostly stock with just some minor things right now like being lowered, has a strut bar, and an aftermarket intake and shift kit. I’m keeping it mostly stock due to it being my show car.
I’ve always had an interest in cars since I was younger but I didn’t truly fall into Mustangs until seeing the Foxes my mom and dad owned. Then I met my amazing boyfriend who was heavily into Mustangs and well everything fell into place. I bought my first car which was a 1988 convertible Mustang GT. I named her Blue and fell even more in love with the Mustang and definitely developed a soft spot for the Fox. It was the most fun I’ve ever had doing things to that car. Unfortunately I lost it in a car accident when I got t-boned but that didn’t stop my love for them there… I soon bought this beautiful one. I actually also bought a New Edge soon after too for a daily.
I have plans to buy new wheels, convertible top, repaint it, and just fix up the minor things to make it completely
show quality. Working on my cars brings me a happiness I didn’t think I could feel and they’ve helped me mentally. I love having a never ending list of things to do and fix and I never get bored. I always have something to look forward to, especially because I’m already planning on buying another eventually!

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE SOUND OF A MUSTANG GOING THROUGH THE GEARS!
I have always been a huge Mustang fan, especially the Foxbody platform. There is nothing like the sound of a Mustang going through the gears! I saw this car for sale and just had to bring it home. I named it Pepé after Pepé Le Pew, the cartoon skunk because of the black with white stripes. It just seemed to fit!

My wife and I enjoy taking it to car shows and cruise-ins and recently joined Scenic City Stangs Club. It is a great way to meet new people and see other Mustangs from the era.
It has all new paint and updated interior with 73,000 original miles. It has the 5.0 engine with GT40 heads and intake, BBK shorty headers, BBK cold air intake, new Ford Performance lifters, and B303 cam.
I upgraded the stock 19 lb. injectors to Accel 24 lb. and also went with a BBK 24 lb. MAF, increased the throttle body size from 60mm to 75mm, and had an all new Flowmaster exhaust system installed with an off-road H pipe and super 44 mufflers. I also upgraded the rear gear to a 3.73:1 ratio. Crazy 8 Customs in Cleveland, Tennessee performed all the engine and exhaust work.

WE NEEDED TO BUILD ANOTHER ONE TOGETHER.
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
My passion for Mustangs began in 1994 when I purchased my first 1989 Mustang GT. I built my daily driven streetcar into a drag car and sold it in 2001 to a friend before having kids. My kids loved looking at pictures of my first car and convinced me we needed to build another one together. We found our car, a perfectly untouched bone stock 1990 Mustang GT AOD car. Once we purchased it the build began. Myself along with my two sons, Michael (16) and Brandon (14) are building this car with Michael tuning it.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. There is nothing better than teaching my sons everything I have learned over the years and watching their passion for these great cars grow. We spend our weekends cruising, going to car shows, and putting our vehicles out on display. Along with the 1990 Mustang GT we also own a 1994 Cobra Convertible Indianapolis 500 Pace Car (Mom’s), 2003 Mustang GT (Michael’s) and are actively searching for Brandon’s first Mustang.

THE GRAY JEDI GETS PLENTY OF LOOKS AND THUMBS UP!
MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!
The Gray Jedi is a pretty much stock 1990 LX 5.0 AOD car that was originally purchased by my dad in fall of 1993. My dad gave it to me in the fall of 2008 because he quit driving it in 2001. Unfortunately my dad passed away in 2010 so he never got to see it back on the road.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. She was in dire need from just sitting. After the exhaust fell off, I put a more appropriate sounding exhaust on it in the form of an SLP Loudmouth catback system and upgraded to Pony rims from a ‘91.
She’s mostly just cruised and enjoyed within my area of Griffith, Indiana. My staple is generally a nice ride to get a cool refreshment at my local Coffee Cabin and going to hit my local antique mall looking for treasures. She’s a little dinged up here and there but it doesn’t stop me from local cruise nights or car shows. The Gray Jedi gets plenty of looks and thumbs up! I’m her official photographer because beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder! Eventually it will be passed down to my son!
