MAGAZINE
Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

TALKING WITH TJ
As we begin our journey into the descent of madness that is my mind and the crazy antics of my life, I would like to first introduce myself. My name is TJ, blah blah blah, that sums it up and all you need to know. Whew… got past the CRAP no one cares about! Now for the good stuff.
Mustang culture is one that is very unique and brings together people from all walks of life. One thing is for sure though, the STANG Mag crew isn’t your typical crew. We are a bunch of weirdos, oddballs, and outcasts. We party hard and live by our ride or die motto and have adventures like no other.
From partying in various spots all over the U.S., to touring some of America’s most haunted sites, to having my ass spanked by a beautiful Latina in Las Vegas in front of a restaurant packed full of guests (and owning it), it’s never a dull moment! All I can say is... strap in, rev the shit out of your motor, and let’s go!
Well, you all know me and how much I love the paranormal. When the chance came to explore the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, you know I did not hesitate. In fact, I was the first one to have my bags packed. Hell yeah, I packed all overnight clothes, new shoes, new boxers (you never know what might happen, ghosts have been known to shit in your pants), and my car shined up.
The drive to there was a nightmare only because I did not sleep the night before and it is kind of a haul to get there, so as you can imagine during the trip up, I was fighting off the sleep. It was 28 degrees and here I was with both windows down, trying to get the cold air to wake me up. Luckily, we went to a gas station and a Mountain Dew later and BAM, I was ready to go! I tell you what, this was the best Mountain Dew I ever had, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t care too much for the Dew.

It was originally designed to hold 250 people but by the 1950s it became overcrowded and held more than 2,400 patients. Now with that many patients and the history of people with mental disabilities in America, it became a nightmare and sadly conditions became very bad. Ironically the hospital grew to have 666 acres… coincidence, I THINK NOT. The work of SATAN is strong here. God bless that feller.
If you get a chance to explore the Trans-Alleghany Lunatic Asylum, please do. We didn’t see any ghosts but the architecture of the building was simply breath taking. Until next time folks, Enjoy the ride and who you’re riding with, especially the “WHO” part just because... even if you don’t see them, it doesn’t mean they are not there.

I STRIVE TO BE DIFFERENT...
I am Luc, 44 years old, born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. My occupation is Senior IT Technician. My passion for cars started at a young age with Hot Wheels as well as seeing the 70s - 80s muscle cars on the streets and driveways and has not stopped since. All my life I’ve been looking at car magazines, attending shows, events, and expos as well as stopping to speak with people all over about their vehicles, whether it be at a mall/parking lot or in their own driveways about their builds/setups. My first Mustang was a 1987 GT Cobra with turbine wheels and I was hooked the minute I test drove it and now it’s all about ‘’Casper’’.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
This is ‘’Casper’’ your friendly neighborhood ghost, my 2020 Mustang GT. He’s a ‘’sleeper’’ born a Coyote. Not long after his birth, we’ve altered it’s DNA with a Roush supercharger. Casper is currently pushing 565 horsepower and 526 torque at the rear wheels. I purchased it new in 2020 and it was supercharged by the Ford dealer at my request. I preferred this upgrade as opposed to the performance packages which are all the same and a dime a dozen! I strive to be different, and I wanted to build the ultimate street/track car.
He’s an absolute blast to drive and when on curved roads has the power and torque to accelerate out of corners like a bat out of hell and in straight lines he pulls like a freight train on speed! Lowered approximately 2.5 inches with settlement and has the factory active exhaust with a nice set of NITTO 305s in the back to keep as much power as I can to the pavement.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

I DROVE IT HOME THAT DAY AND THAT’S WHEN THE MODS STARTED HAPPENING...
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. The first time I saw a Mustang in this color I knew I was going to own one. Not finding one locally, my search took me to Wisconsin, into “Packer Land”, to buy one. I’m actually the original and third owner of this car. After owning it for a couple of years I traded it off for something bigger for our growing family, vowing I would own another Mustang someday. That day was not far off, as about a year later “Green Machine” appeared for sale at the car lot right next to my business.
I drove it home that day and that’s when the mods started happening, including an intercooled Pro Charger supercharger, Steeda drag pack, gears, a full JBA exhaust system, and a Mcleod clutch. The engine has been modified to a 5.0 Stroker with custom cams and a ported and polished intake manifold topped off with custom fuel rails and a dual pump fuel return system.
For a long time, the car only came out on special occasions, but after finding out about a local Mustang enthusiasts’ group, Iowa Mustangs Unstabled, I’ve been getting it out for many more events including cruises, shows, drag days and hopefully some autocross someday. Being around all these

newer Mustangs has me thinking I need to add another one to the stable. Maybe something in Eruption Green.

I AM CONSIDERED A MUSTANG GENERATION ONE LEGACY OWNER...
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I have always been in love with my Mustang. It all began when my Aunt, Miss Tommie Barnes, bought her new Mustang in Aug 1964 from Strother Ford, Marietta, Georgia. When she brought it home, I fell in love with it and began telling her that I wanted it if she ever got rid of it. I even took my first driver’s test in this car in 1973. She finally gave it to me in 2009 and I have cherished it every day since. I named the car Misty, because the windows fogged up on the way home.
We have painted the car and redid the interior, but the only other modification is exterior rear view mirrors, since the car only came with one interior rear view mirror. I am considered a Mustang Generation One Legacy Owner since the car has been in the family since it was purchased. I was fortunate to display my car at the Charlotte Motor Speedway front entrance with the other Generation One owners at the 50th Anniversary Celebration for the Mustang. It was at the 50th Anniversary Celebration where I met Gail Wise, the owner of the first Mustang sold in the United States.
My husband and I are members of the Limestone County Mustang Club and participate in numerous auto shows

throughout the year and plan to display the car at the Mustang 60th Celebration in 2024. I hope to pass the car down to my children or grandchildren to keep the legacy alive.

Growing up I always admired and wanted to own a Ford Mustang. In the Fall of 2019 I had an opportunity to purchase this 1968 Mustang from a gentleman who was downsizing. My first impression was WOW. I love the color and after a test drive I was in love with this car.

My wife Regina and I enjoy going to car shows and cruises and showing off our beauty. We love seeing other vintage cars and have met wonderful friends in the process. Raven is equipped with a 289 C-4 automatic transmission. This coupe is turquoise in color with white accented striping. The white vinyl top and black vinyl interior are original and in outstanding condition. The original color was Seafoam Green. Power steering and an AM Radio were other features added back in 1968. This beauty was built on January 22, 1968.
We named our car “Raven” after our eight-year-old Shih Tzu, who we adore and love very much. We have won numerous awards with this car, but the most outstanding awarding thing that has happened for us is the friends that we have made over the last five years that will last a lifetime.

When I turned 50 I realized it was time to do something for myself so I purchased my first Shelby. It was shortly after I met my now wife Pam. Not long after that we started a Mustang club “Suffolk Stangs.”
Pam said to me ( jokingly) one day, “I feel left out not having a Mustang” so I purchased her first Mustang GT Convertible. A year and half later we were married.
As a wedding gift, I traded her GT for a GT500. Her 2021 Velocity Blue features Signature wheels, full PPF, CAI and many engine compartment dress up pieces. My 2022 Race Red features all the same as Pam’s.

My love for Mustangs started a bit later than most. My husband had a Foxbody years ago but purchased a 2019 last year. After begging to drive it daily for a month, I purchased my baby.
The feeling I have when I drive or talk about it is like no other feeling I have ever had for a car. I now understand why people just go for a “drive” and feel better. It is my release.
Mods include SR Performance intake, Hurst grille, Bama tuned 93, Flowmaster X pipe, and Scott Drake rear wing.

While on the hunt for a Mustang, I searched and found one that caught my eye and purchased it in 2014. Needing only a few things done to her, first I traveled to Wellington and trailered it back to her new home in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.
My passion for the Mustang first started in the early days when I first got my license. My father knew I always wanted one so after a year after my father passed away I decided it was time to get one.

The 2003 Azure Blue Mach 1 is one of my favorite specialty Mustangs. I’ve had “The Mach” for over seven years. Unfortunately the car was down with a bad engine for two of those seven years. Thanks to my friend and mechanic, Greg Mayton of Speedy Dyno in Owensboro, Kentucky, the engine was rebuilt as a 5.0 stroker. Now with 420 HP N/A the Mach runs really good.
Since getting the car back from the shop the Mach has won a couple of prestigious car show awards such as Good Guys and Ponies In the Smokies, along with several local car shows in Middle Tennessee. Of course these car events would not be as special without my wife Mary, my parents, and my car

My name is Jennifer Perry, AKA “Wilma”, AKA Southern Stangs GA (I am my club). Now that you know my name let me tell you a little about my history with my Mustangs of past and present. My journey started with my 2006 GT 4.6-liter V8. I got it back when my uncle worked for Ford and lucky for me before he retired. I had that Mustang for 10 years and it was so much fun. But time had come that I needed a different view from the driver’s seat and bought a Ruby Red 2016 F150 crew cab that I still have. But life changes and gave me the opportunity to get back into a Mustang in 2020 so, I started looking and found my Rapid Red 2020 GT 5.O Premium track-pack pp1. Now after having my 2020 for a year, I started my search for my dream car. While walking around at one of my other Mustang club shows (Bay Mustangs of Panama City) looking at all the beautiful rides, I got a call that my new ride had been found and it was in Georgia. It was brand-new Race Red 2022 Shelby Cobra GT500. She was mine within an hour and we even had it figured out that the sales guy would bring it to me in PCB. So, I was confident she was meant to be mine.
I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
I found it only fitting to extend the name “Wilma” that my PCB Bay Mustang Club had given to me onto my new Shelby considering “Wilma” is a gorgeous Fiery Red on four wheels. Can’t wait to put her in the show this coming 2023 season for everyone to see her, this being her first season in the Emerald Coast Cruzin show with many more to come. I love my Mustang families whether in Georgia or Florida and can’t wait to hang out and have fun, eat some amazing food, or cruising down a windy road. A big thanks goes out to Jocelyn Ashley of Copperhead Territory Photography for all the beautiful pictures and Adams-Briscoe Seed and Feed, Hood Street Art Center, McDonough, Georgia and my club Southern Stangs
The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!
Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in 2022!
GA the reason to share our Mustang stories past and present.
Now I am making new memories in the incredible piece of Ford machinery. It brings people together and makes you feel more of a family than anything I have ever dreamed it would do. But I can’t tell you how glad and proud I am to be in such a family of Mustang owners, a class of our own style. Never thought I would be so lucky to not only have had two Mustang GTs in my life, but to own my dream car, a new 2022 Shelby.
Just the thought of being able to have a S550 body style Shelby was a dream come true and a very humbling thought. So,

JUST THE TIP
SPOILER ALERT!
I love the look of a spoiler on a Mustang. Takes me back to the late 60s to early 70s with the Mach 1. Just gives it that extra edge. But what are they, what do they do, and why are there so many types? Over the years, Ford has come out with different spoiler styles from the factory, but what do they do exactly? Quick answer – Downforce!
As your car is moving forward, air is going over the top of the car, but also under the bottom. The faster you go,
there is more air that is going around the car, and the air going under the bottom of the car will create lift. Yes, like an airplane. And this will make the car lighter the faster you go. In performance situations, you want the wheels pressed to the ground for optimal steering and handling, but if the car is trying to lift off the ground, you’re not getting the downforce that you need. While there are many different spoiler types out there, let’s look at a few of the more popular ones and what makes them work.

Pedestal Spoiler – A true classic. These look like a wing mounted to the top of the trunk. They look like a wing because, well, they are a wing. If you were to cut a pedestal spoiler in half and look at its profile, you’ll see that it’s shaped just like an airplane wing, but upside down.
Lip Spoiler – This type of spoiler also mounts to the trunk, but is flush so air does not go under the spoiler, only over the top. This design helps air move over the car, and creates a slight vacuum directly under spoiler, which will help pull the back of the car downward.
Ducktail Spoiler – A Ducktail is another version of a Lip
Spoiler. It will mount directly to the trunk but has a much higher angle and broader face than a traditional Lip Spoiler. As air moves over the top of the car, it runs into this high angle, wide faced barrier that causes the air to stack up, creating a high-pressure system over the trunk and in front of the spoiler, pushing the rear of the car down, but also creates additional drag.
Chin Spoiler – Front spoilers, aka splitters and air dams, are mounted to the bottom of the bumper cover. Air pushes the front spoiler down, creating downforce on the front end for improved steering response.

SNS DETAILING
I’m Shane, the owner of SNS and my journey into detailing started in 1993. I got a job sanding and polishing cars on the side for friends and family. I never thought it would be more than just that. A few years later, I quit my job and moved on to working as a Corrections Officer when the bug hit me again to do more detailing. This time it quickly grew into
doing lots of cars for everyone, not just friends and family. I knew it was time to make it real so an LLC was created. SNS sold car care products and did detailing. After a few years of doing that, I went to several trainings for ceramic coatings. All the best brands of ceramic required you to attend training for their specific coating. We offer Qtechniq and Modesta ceramic coatings.

Now, let’s get the LOWDOWN on this badass toy, the Palmetto State Armory’s 9mm AK pistol called the PSA AK-V.
The AK-V is Palmetto State Armory’s version of the Russian Vityaz submachine gun. It is designed with a blow-back-operated system that ensures a smooth cycling action and this baby is considered a MUST HAVE! This one is one of our personal favorites and is on the top of the list!
So you never heard of Palmetto State Armory? Let us school you. Since its inception, Palmetto State Armory has had one mission: to maximize freedom and not their profits. UNITED STATES ARMY - ALLIED TRADES SPECIALIST
THE FREEDOMS THAT OUR FOREFATHERS FOUGHT AND DIED FOR ARE TRULY UNMATCHED.
My name is John W Griffiths IV. I am a fourth generation active duty Army soldier. In high school I was a varsity cross country and track and field runner. I knew from a very early age I wanted to serve my country and was not afraid to show it. Every year for Halloween when I was younger I was a different version of a soldier. When I graduated high school in 2018, I left my hometown of Easton, PA to chase my dream.
I went to basic training then to advanced individual training to learn my job as an Allied Trades Specialist. I specialize in welding, metal fabrication, and a touch of machining. I have been all around the world and I can confidently say America is the best country. The freedoms that our forefathers fought and died for are truly unmatched. The American dream is real and I’m living it.
All of the friendships and partnerships I have created from my time in service cannot be replicated in any other career field. I wouldn’t trade any of my experiences for the world.
On my weekends I enjoy welding for my small fabrication business, driving my truck, going to rodeos, and riding the occasional bull.
