CAR NAME–YEAR & MODEL INFO was a place where more that 50,000 soldiers had lost their lives in 3 days during the Civil War. It is considered the bloodiest battle of the Civil War. It is a very important battle for us on the east coast because it stopped the Confederate momentum from moving north and gave the north a much needed victory. It is often called the turning point of the war. Our tour took us past the Gettysburg National Cemetery which is where over 6,000 United States soldiers and Veterans are buried. From there we drove all over the park, looking at the different monuments and statues. At the end of the battlefield cruise, we ended up at the Pennsylvania Monument. This monument commemorates the 34,530 Pennsylvania soldiers who fought in the July 1-3, 1863 Battle of Gettysburg. From here we went to our favorite watering hole, Gary Owens. I refer to this as our Headquarters since many of our weekly meetings occur here. Gary Owens is an old Civil War era building that has more than 120 whiskies, Ireland’s draft beers, and amazing Irish food. You can literally feel the history in this building and it is also believed to be haunted as many of our members have had experiences here of the other world. Now trying to get our group in here was a challenge, as Gary Owens is a very popular place in downtown Gettysburg, so we did the best thing possible, we

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.
