Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. My passion for Mustangs and Shelbys goes back to 2007 when my father brought home a 2007, Vista Blue Shelby GT500. A few years later, we took the car out to Shelby America in Vegas to have the car converted to a SuperSnake and signed by Carroll himself. I ended up learning to drive manual on that very 800 horsepower Supersnake. fast forward five years later, the S550 chassis came out and a few months later I saw the GT350 was released. I owned a 2015, Race Red Mustang GT but I knew at that very moment, the GT350 was the perfect car for me.

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

The black GT350 I currently have was the very first GT350 I ever saw in person or drove. The car was purchased by my father in 2016 and we drove it around and broke it in before he took it home to Ohio. He owned it for three years before he sold it to me.

included a trip to the LeMans 24, Normandy, Paris, to the Swiss Alps and the Autobahn. I purchased the car in May 2019 from him.

Since I have taken ownership, that is when all the mods occured as it was completely stock when I got it from him. In my four years of ownership, it has been on the track at Sebring, Daytona, and the FIRM. It has also raced at numerous Spectator Drag events at the Freedom Factory including finishing in the top 4 in October 2022.

I enjoy this car at its absolute limit. It is truly a special car and will go down as a generational iconic car. Nothing else quite feels the same, drives the same, or gives you the sensations it delivers. I plan on having at least one GT350 in my household for the rest of time. I enjoy the car so much that I’d like to get a second one in the future!

My name is 1st Sgt. Nicholas Lanier and this is my 1997 SVT Cobra. It is lowered, sitting on staggered 18” Cobra R wheels, Hurst shifter, 3.73, Vortech Supercharger, and Magnaflow exhaust. The tag says COBRAH which is two combined words. Cobra for the obvious reasons and Rah for a shout out to all Marine Corps brethren. Rah is short for Oorah and if you ask any Marine that has served in the last 20 years they’ll know what you’re talking about.

I have been into Mustangs since I was in high school and have been through a few. I’ve owned a ‘98 GT (Pacific Green), ‘93 LX 5.0, ‘02 Roush Stage 2, and this ‘97 Cobra. Back in high school I had the Pacific Green GT which is the same SN95 body style as the one I own now. At the time my girlfriend had a matching Pacific Green Convertible with Peanut Butter interior. I decided it was meant to be and we tied the knot in

2006, less than a year after joining the Marine Corps. We’ve been through multiple deployments, two kids, the drill field, Presidential security, and most recently embassy duty in Nigeria and China. We are currently stationed in KY and plan to retire after this assignment. I always said I wanted another pacific green SN95 because that was the car that I remember growing up in with my wife. We use to ride in her car with the top down and forget everything else in the world and just cruise. When I found this car for sale in Tennessee I ran to the bank and we drove four hours to go look at it. Now my family and I can enjoy cruising together with the wind in our hair and the blow of the supercharger.

My name is Garrett Long and I’m a disabled Army Infantry Veteran. I’m happily married to my beloved wife Amanda Long, and we have two amazing boys Aydenn and Gunner. This is our 1998 Mustang GT.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

It came factory with a 4.6L sohc V8. I am currently working on upgrading it to a 4.6L dohc V8. Everything you see done to this car, one of our hands has made that happen. When I originally purchased this car it was all but ready for the scrap yard, though it served its purpose of getting me back and forth when I was working at the Sheriff’s office. After being medically forced to resign from the Sheriff’s office after over two years of working there, I went down hill pretty quick. When people say you don’t know what people are going through, you truly don’t. After I healed from one of my back procedures, my wife pushed me to find a hobby. I started working on the car. It was in really bad shape. It was solid but that’s the only thing it had going for it. Starting with an interior swap from a pick-n-pull, that kinda sparked that it could actually be something kind of nice. After calling a few places for wrapping or getting it painted, the options were out of the question. We just simply couldn’t afford it. I started watching videos on body prep and paint. It was then I decided to do it myself. I knew I couldn’t make it any worse than it already was.

shed to use as a paint booth. Using his advice, what I learned online and a whole lot of luck, it came out awesome. Freedom earned his name and has now become not only a beacon of hope for myself but to so many others. We now use the car for fundraising and events. We are raising awareness that America hasn’t given up hope, freedom isn’t free, and even though heroes are gone, they will never be forgotten.

This is our 1970 Boss 302, 1 of 36 Calypso Coral with Std Vermilion interior and 1 of 2 as configured. Only modification from original is Hooker headers and was completely restored in 2013/14. I searched many years for this car. My Dream car came true thanks my supportive wife, Melady! The car is nicknamed Melady after her. I love this car. I have owned Mustangs since I was 17 years old and for most of my 30 year Air Force career and own four currently.

Since the age of 10 my dad had a ‘93 Mustang GT, two tone teal and gray and would do burnouts when leaving for work while I waited for the bus if I asked him to. I just thought it was the coolest car ever. So in 2022 I bought a 2019 GT which has become my pride and joy. With the military, the Mustangs brought us together more on the weekends for cruise ins and car shows. I made life long friends from the military just because of the Mustang.

My car is a 2021 Shelby GT500 chassis number M0700. It has Vorshlag adjustable camber plates, BMR IRS lock out kit, lower control arm bushings, and a Kong Performance carbon fiber cold air intake. It has run a best of 10.619 at 133 mph in the 1/4 plus sees road courses too.

My name is Ron Martin and I live in Warren, PA. I am a retired Boiler Technician Chief. I got into Mustangs in 2006 when I bought my first one. It was screaming yellow. I started modifying it right away and built it into a 10 second street car. I have always loved Mustangs from the first time I saw one as a child.

I loved my time in the service, I was onboard four Destroyers, one helo carrier, and was a Craftmaster at ACU4 driving the LCACs in my last tour. LCAC 40 was my boat. The people serving in the military are some of the greatest people you can ever meet.

Ever since I laid eyes on the 1979 Mustang GT Indy pace car it was Love at first sight. I told myself I would get a Mustang someday “when I grow up”. Fast forward to 1987 and I purchased my first new car, a 1987 Mustang LX 5.0 liter stripper from the dealer for $11,995. I was hooked. Having grown up with my dad, working at Ford’s 302 engine plant, was reinforcement in our family with Fords.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

Unfortunately I had to sell the car to my brother because I moved overseas, so it was bittersweet to be without a pony car. Fast forward to 2017 and 30 years after my first Mustang, I was back in the U.S. and purchased a 2017 Mustang GT and had the dealer install a few Roush mods for a total of 730 hp. Having served in the Air Force including Desert Storm and Desert Shield as an F-4, F-16, and A-10 Avionics Systems Specialist has helped my career in the civilian world working on multi-million dollar private and corporate jets so aviation, fast jets, and fast cars sort of go hand in hand for me.

Being a Veteran of the Air Force makes me proud to serve this country and have the freedom that we all take for granted. If it wasn’t for all those that sacrificed their lives to give us what we have today, we may not have these Mustangs.

My Mustang is equipped with a Roush stage II 727 hp supercharger kit, Vossen VWS-3 20” wheels and tires, Airlift suspension system, carbon alcantara steering wheel, aluminum valve covers, UPR billet oil catch can, Steeda jacking rails, Function Factory automotive grade hybrid aluminum front splitter, Corsa sport axle back exhast system with H pipe, MGW racing shifter, and Cervinis 4” cowl hood.

At 18 years old, my father bought his first Mustang, a 1967 Fastback 427 and from then on there was no turning back. Mustangs became a part of his DNA. A year later he joined the military and was sent to flight school and then Vietnam and was forced to sell that car. He loved and fought for our country through three tours of duty in Vietnam and was shot down three times in country. He was a proud Veteran until the moment he passed away, never missing an opportunity to thank every other Veteran he saw for their service. His love for his country, his love for his Mustangs, and his love for his family never wavered.

Larry Brooks was a U.S. Army Veteran CW3 who served three tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot who flew Hunter Killer team missions. Sadly he passed away on August 5th, 2022 from kidney cancer related to Agent Orange.

His car is a 2020 GT Performance Pack, 10 speed auto equipped with Rohana red wheels, Nitto tires, rear seat delete, color matched rear seat roll bar, Eibach sportline springs, Ford Performance X pipe, Koni STR front struts, Koni rear shocks, and Acme Coyote badges by Badge King.

My name is Gary Foster and I am a retired 28-year Canadian Army Veteran who served 15 years in the Armored Corps and 13 years with the Medical Branch. My wife and I currently split time between Calgary, Alberta Canada and Sun City, West Arizona.

I am the proud owner of a 2006 Shelby GT-H. 500 of these were produced by Shelby for Hertz rental car in 2006 for the 40th Anniversary of the original 1966 Hertz “rent a racer” program. Mine is #259 of 500 and is completely stock. It started its life as a Hertz rental car for the first 18,000 miles and I am the second owner after it was auctioned off by them and it now has approximately 40,000 miles on it. He is affectionately called “The Rental” and enjoys cruising, car shows, and just hanging out with members of our “Wild West Mustangs & Fords” car club in the West Valley.

Members of the STANG Mag family are more passionate about fun and inclusion than they are their cars and that says a lot! I can’t wait to see what’s to come in
