We are a bunch of weirdos, oddballs, and outcasts. We party hard and live by our ride or die motto and have adventures like no other.

Vegas is getting ready for a F-1 race through the city itself, so as you can imagine it’s a pretty crazy time. Now I didn’t attend the concerts as I was having my own good time on Fremont Street, but from what I hear, the concerts were amazing! They have Bush, Third Eye Blind, Walk the Moon, Imagine Dragons, Ludacris, and Incubus plus more. Thats one hell of a line up.

Mustangs have always been one of my favorite cars. I have owned many of them and built a few New Edges but the power plant in this car won me over. I have owned and driven many sports cars and always ended up back in a Mustang so this one is here to stay. I have big plans for the car in the end. She never disappoints. I am always wanting upgrades and more power, hence the reason for the name “Bankrupt.”

Then when Max’s son Jonathan was 15, he started working to restore the car. Jonathan worked with his grandpa learning how to repair the transmission and other parts. Jonathan drove it during his last two years of high school before it went to get the body repaired. Max worked with a small local shop on the body taking 2 1/2 years. Mom put her hand in the restoration putting the interior in. When the car was finally finished the title was passed down to Jonathan. Jonathan had a dream of taking his grandpa for a ride when it was finished. We took the car from Fort Worth to Houston making Jonathan’s dream come true. Now that Grandpa has passed on, Jonathan has a picture of the three generations who worked on the car to hold on to.

I moved on and when I was 19, I ordered a new 1990 Mustang LX 5.0. It was white with red interior. Little did I know, my future brother-in-law had a matching ‘89! Fast forward to October of 2020. We found this rusted ‘68 convertible. It was an original 6 cylinder automatic. Both were unusable and my wife wanted a V8 5 speed so this worked out. This was an extensive undertaking starting in January 2022. The A pillar, B pillar, dash, seat frames, side glass and convertible top frame were salvaged. The rest of the frame sections and sheet metal were replaced. We decided that so much work had been done, that we would make it our own. We chose Nightmist Blue for the paint, white interior, and a Navy Blue cloth top.

New Edge Mustangs have always been my favorite. I have worked so hard on this car, and like most cars, it feels like the project is never really done. There is always something you want to add or change. This car has came a long way from where it started, especially after I hit a deer and destroyed the front end. I think a lot of people are suprised to see a woman getting out of this car or attempting to work on it. I did all the body work on this car to prepare for paint last year. I look forward to putting more time and effort into it.
