Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. I should probably start from the beginning. I’ve wanted a Mustang ever since I knew they existed. I was born one month after its release. Then when I was probably 10-12 years old, a shiny red convertible caught my eye. I’m still dreaming about it.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

So I guess if it wasn’t for my husband getting his oil changed at our local Ford dealer he wouldn’t have noticed a nice white convertible on the lot. Agent 99 wouldn’t be in my garage. We’ve been having a blast ever since. Driving mountain roads and car shows with the Wrecking Crew Mustang Club all around NC, SC, VA, and TN. It’s been a great 8 years!

Current mods include Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust, S&B cold air filter, Performance Distributors 10mm plug wires, 18” bronze drag wheels, PowerStop drilled and slotted rotors, Raxiom halo headlights and sequential tail lights, custom tuning, front chin spoiler, parchment cloth top, and SCT 93 tune.

I STARTED MY PASSION FOR CARS WHEN I WAS ABOUT 9 YEARS OLD...

This is my mustang, Crimson, and it is a 4.6 liter 5 speed manual transmission with only 84,000 miles and it has aluminum heads that’s been bored out to a 302. It has 3.73 gears in the rear end and it has an extremely loud cam with shorty headers that flow into a Borla straight pipe exhaust. It has a stage 2 clutch and a stage 2 launch kit and is 98 octane tuned. It has a 4 inch fully functional Cervini cowl hood that’s painted on both sides to match my car. It’s been Dynoed at 438 horsepower and 442 foot pounds of tourqe at 5200 RPMs. It’s sitting on a set of TSW black chrome rims with 17 inch Nitto tires. It’s mean, it’s loud, and it’s fast! I’ve always loved Mustangs and I’ve owned 12 different styles of Mustangs starting out with a black 1987 4 cylinder and worked my way up to every body style from 87-12 but I’ve stuck more with the S197s. I’ve owned five S197 body styles, including this one, because to me they look so much better than any other ones made by Ford.

had the car I wanted, I went and entered my 2008 Mustang into my first registered car show and was parked right beside the same man who had once told me that I wasn’t rich enough to do this, and won Best of Show and he didn’t get anything. I reminded him who I was and what he said to me and told him that he was the reason for me getting into cars since he said I could never afford to do this. He apologized and now we have become friends and I’ve converted him to a Mustang lover after him being a die hard Corvette fanatic all his life! I call that a success!

There was an older guy there who overheard me talking to my parents and knew that I came from a not so prosperous family with not a lot of money and he told me that I would never be able to do this because I didn’t have the money to afford a car of this kind. In March of 1996, I was 7 years old leaving Sayville Ford, grinning ear to ear, buckled into my father’s brand new, special-ordered 1996 Rio Red Mustang GT. He doesn’t understand what he started that day.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I purchased my 2005 Mustang GT in August of 2012, completely stock. Within the first month, the first time down the track, it went 14.3 at 99 mph. Unfortunately, in 2015, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor that required immediate surgery. I woke up with no fine motor skills in my left hand and no feeling in my body except my right arm. Worst of all, I had no guarantee that I could ever drive again. For eight months straight, I’d go to physical therapy five days a week, and immediately after, I’d work on the car. I was determined to drive again, no matter what. In those 8 months, I slowly regained most of the feeling in my legs and partial feeling in my left arm and hand. Thankfully, I never lost the motivation to drive and work on the car. Through it all, after multiple different setups over the years, I’ve piloted it to a best of 9.90 at 133 mph with a stick shift!

It currently has a 4.6 3v that I assembled myself, TR6060 6 speed transmission, CG Fabrication turbo kit with an 85mm VS racing turbo, built 8.8 rear, and Holley Terminator Xmax tuned by Sam Biddle at Biddle’s Performance Solutions.

My love for Mustangs started at an early age but it wasn’t until I was 21 that my Dad co-signed for me to get my first Mustang, a 2004 Screaming Yellow 40th Anniversary Edition. Years later I traded it for a 2007 Grabber Orange and in 2013 I purchased my 2011 Race Red Mustang Club of America Edition named “ G!NGR”.

I was 10 years old the day I fell in love with Mustangs. I was at the track with my dad and uncles that were racing. There was this Foxbody there and its sound caught my attention from the pits. Nothing sounded like it. From that day on, I always wanted a 5.0.

Racing is in my blood and Mustangs have always been my passion. I bought my 2013 Mustang GT Premium August of 2012. It was on the showroom floor with everyone eying it like a kid in a candy store. I immediately bought it. From that day forward, it’s been my track car, show car, and weekend cruising car. It’s a NA FBO car that makes an impressive 435 WHP and 372 WTQ on the lowest reading loaded Dyno (Dyno Dynamics) thanks to Aaron Lail at TruDyno. It only has 37k miles on it right now and it’s been the most fun 37k miles I’ve ever driven.

It’s most definitely a conversation starter from the wild GHIG paint to the Drag Pack on it that never fails to turn heads. It never disappoints anyone that gets a ride in it. It’s hard to beat a FBO Coyote whether it be on the street/ strip and even when it comes to price because they respond very well to mods. I feel it’s the perfect platform for modding because they make a good amount of power with very little mods. Nothing sounds like a 5.0 which makes me always stand out and I love that. MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT MY CAR IS THE SMILES SHE GETS WHILE WE’RE CRUISING!

Jellybean is a 2013 3.7 Cyclone V6 Premium Convertible, MCA Special Edition in Gotta Have It Green. It is #395 of a build of 638 convertibles and #47 of 80 in Gotta Have It Green produced that year. It has a GT/CS style spoiler, BBK short headers, shift tune, cold air intake, headlight splitters and hood stripe.

My husband and I bought the car in January 2023. He got his Mustang the year before, so it was time to get mine and complete the “his and hers” set. I always wanted a convertible and chose the Mustang since it’s been my husband’s dream to have one, and now we have two!

We are part of the Iowa Mustangs Unstabled club and enjoy going to events and cruises. The best part of being a Mustang owner is meeting all the new cars, and their people! It’s a special kind of excitement that we have for each other in sharing our stories and history. I enjoy seeing photos of their cars from decades ago and hope I get to enjoy mine that long as well. Each car is unique, and I’m learning more about them every day.

My favorite thing about my car is the smiles she gets while we’re cruising! I just love driving it!

SHE’S STILL EVOLVING MONTH TO MONTH AND HOPES OF BECOMING A SEMA WORTHY CAR ONE DAY!

Just when you thought it couldn’t be done… we did it. Transformed a semi ordinary S197 into a monster worthy of the name. Decided to go with the Monster Zero/Ghidorah theme to symbolize not only her third major transformation but also the ferocious will of a 3-headed dragon. 3-headed dragons are popular in pop culture ranging from GODZILLA to the Targaryen sigil in Game of Thrones to the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon of Yugioh.

Many late nights getting formulas right to erase the rivets holding the Shirokai body kit to the fenders. So now it’s the world’s first semi-molded Shirokai S197 kit that is known of right now. And also maybe the world’s first Saleen 281 SN95 rear wing retro fitted to an S197 chassis. She’s still evolving month to month and hopes of becoming a SEMA worthy car one day!

Backstory - the car was bought in 2016, two years used with 12k miles. 2014 GT was a dream of mine for years before I finally saved up enough to buy one. I consider myself an artist making a rolling canvas to display at car shows all across the West coast.

GRUMBLE TO GRAB SOME ATTENTION...

I have had a passion for cars since I was a child. I really enjoyed all types of muscle cars. My sister bought a Mustang GT in 1992 and that kicked off my love of the Mustang. I have owned 3 Mustangs in my 44 years, and I knew that someday I wanted to build one to be a perfect representation of my love for the car. My boyfriend and I share this passion for Mustangs, so his expertise and support has really helped me achieve this dream of mine.

Mods list includes Cervini C-Series body kit, Carroll Shelby 20” CS-3 Black wheel kit (20x9 1/2” - 20x11), Brenspeed Detroit Rocker Cams, Brenspeed 93 Tune, Pypes long tube headers and H-Pipe, and JLT Cold air intake.

I have a soft spot for the Foxbody, but the S197 is my absolute favorite style. I am in love with the Eleanor GT500, so I chose the Cervini C-Series body kit to express that. My car was bone stock when I bought it, so this build is an absolute dream come true! The Detroit Rocker Cams give it just enough grumble to grab some attention, and the side exit exhaust makes it extra exciting! For me, the Mustang is a symbol of freedom and power. They are affordable for any average working person, and they can be designed to really portray the definition of American Muscle!

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

I BOUGHT THE BULLITT ALMOST FIVE YEARS AGO AS MY 25TH BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO MYSELF.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

I’ve owned an 02 New Edge GT and a 14 GT, but the Bullitt holds a special place in my heart and I don’t see myself parting with it. I’ve always been into cars since I was a kid and liked all the different kinds and styles, but once I got my first Mustang I was hooked! Ever since then it’s been a passion for me and because of the Mustang community I’ve made some good friends and memories along the way.

I bought the Bullitt almost five years ago as my 25th birthday present for myself. After about a year without one I stumbled across this beauty in a used car lot looking kinda rough and had to have it. I’ve spent the last couple of years fixing and replacing alot of the suspension and handling parts and bringing the paint back to life.

It has SVE coil-overs sitting on Saleen replica wheels, Drive Shaft Shop one piece aluminum drive shaft, SLP loudmouth exhaust, Roush cold air intake, Ford Performance 4.10 gears, short throw shifter, and a few more goodies.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

I have been a Mustang fanatic since I was a child. My dad loved Mustangs, so the hobby was not hard to pick up, and once I got behind the wheel of a V8 powered GT, I never looked back. I’ve owned several generations of Mustang including 3 fox bodies, a New Edge, and a 2010 GT prior to picking up my 2013 new from the dealer. To me, Mustang was the epitome of American Muscle. I enjoy showing, racing, and cruising my Mustang and try to enjoy the Mustang lifestyle to the fullest. I’ve just crossed 95,000 miles with the car, and I’ve enjoyed every single one of them.

This car was built to capture my idea of a perfect Mustang. I grew up always wanting a New Edge Mach 1, but that never came to pass. When I got my 2013, I knew I had the platform to build my vision. I went as far as swapping the entire nose of the car to capture the retro-inspired aesthetic of a classic Mustang, but with all the modern benefits of a 2013 to enjoy. A plethora of parts from the vast aftermarket Mustang world helped me bring that final look together. The car was built to handle the road course, autocross, and a nice Sunday cruise with comfort, style, reliability, and performance. I love having something unique that stands apart from the herd and channels the heritage of the Mustang.

This is “Therapist”, a 2006 V6 Mustang Coupe.

Performance mods include an Airaid cold air intake and throttle body spacer, Demon coil pack, Taylor wires, Diablo tune, and DynaMax exhaust.

Suspension includes Eibach lowering springs, Koni adjustable shocks and struts, Air lift drag bags in the rear springs, Power Stop performance rotors and Akebono pads, and an Ingals strut tower brace from a FR 500.

For appearance, additions include a Cervini B2 chin spoiler, AR Redline wheels with 18s in the front and 20s in the rear, 245 45r 18 tires in front and 275 40r 20 tires in the rear, Roush hood scoop, Gen 5 tail lights, headlight splitters and custom grille, rear window louvers, and my favorite, the painted stripes my friend laid down.

I also upgraded the sound system by running two amps and a Sony head unit to provide the entertainment.
