MAGAZINE

Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride!

Black Betty is a 2021 Shelby GT 500. The only mod I have done is to add a JLT CAI.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

She’s fast and sleek with a shine that just won’t quit. I ran her in the Texas Mile and she showed 181 on the speedometer! They speed trapped me at 179.6. That was in 6th gear out of 7.

We’ve been standing on the corner in Winslow, AZ two times in two different Mustangs. Mustangs are perfect for cruising interstates and winding mountain roads and still get good gas mileage. Doing 88 mph (back to the future) she did 20.4 mpg in Tucumcari, NM. Most of the time she could do around 19.

IN HONOR OF MY DAD, BECAUSE HE STARTED THIS MONSTER THAT’S INSIDE OF ME.

MEMBERS OF THE STANG MAG FAMILY ARE MORE PASSIONATE ABOUT FUN AND INCLUSION THAN THEY ARE THEIR CARS AND THAT SAYS A LOT!

My passion for cars started with my dad whom I just recently lost. It all started with my dad being a car enthusiast and drag racer. He’s the one that got me hooked in the joy of a ride. My first experience of a Mustang started with my uncle David’s 1989 Foxbody that we called “Ole Blue” where he’d always come over and pick me up as a kid and go do burnouts and donuts. Soon after, my brother-in-law and sister got a Foxbody and would do the same with me. I craved the sound, G - forces and just all around the experience. At that moment I knew I was a Mustang enthusiast and had never stopped since. Fast forward to the future at age 23, I was able to purchase my first Mustang which was a 1987 GT. It was a moment for the family which brought us all to tears. I continued working hard and was able to purchase my second Mustang which was my 1997 SVT Cobra which was my pride and joy to own a piece of history. Unfortunately, I had to sell it when I developed my family. A year down the road I had no Mustang, so for my birthday of 2021 my fiancé had saved up money and found a 1990 GT in Kentucky and brought it home, which would be the reason why I got my dream Mustang.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. go try and buy a brand new Mustang. I worked hard to get my credit up and this has alway been the big dream of mine. I went in and got approved but they wanted some money down, but instead my salesman asked me if I still had the 1990 Foxbody. The salesman and his son were looking for one so the trade was made, car for car and I walked away with my brand new 2021 Mustang GT named “CASH”. Never did I think I would own a brand new Mustang. It still feels like a dream from me being a little kid to now. I can’t wait to make more memories and to build my dream Mustang one piece at a time in honor of my dad, because he started this monster that’s inside of me.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

Hi My name is Chad Murray. I bought my S550 after my parents had passed away within five months of each other. I found this used with 17k miles on it hidden in the back of Montgomery Lincoln of all places, it was traded in. I was extremely surprised how much I love this car.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Everyone said oh no you need that 5.0 but there were two things that led me to the turbo 4 cylinder instead. One - I like the relatively quiet engine, no doubt the deep loud sound of those 5.0s are amazing but I have two little kids and worked odd hours when I first bought it in July 2017 and didn’t want to wake up the whole house and neighborhood. Two – I had a certain amount of cash to put down and could either have a paid off used Turbo or 5.0 with another payment. I took the Turbo paid off option and I don’t regret it at all. It is way faster than I expected it to be at 310HP it has way more get up and go than my old Hyundai Elantra. I haven’t done any mods to the engine, but I did add the Roush spoiler. Within the last week I got the majority of the Chameleon wrap finished. There are some spots and little things that need attention but over all for my first time ever doing a wrap it turned out amazing, exactly how I expected.

I get so many people asking about the color changing wrap

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

already that think it’s a paint job at first. Luckily I bought one of the most forgiving vinyls you can buy. Most wraps are directional and must be laid down in order around the car but with this Chameleon Vinyl you can do it any direction and any piece will go next to the previous piece, so I was able to do it in sections over the course of a couple weeks. It was so hard to do with only two hands. There is no doubt in my mind that it would be every bit of $2500 for someone else to do it.

NEEDLESS TO SAY, AFTER TAKING MY FIRST RIDE SEALED THE DEAL EVEN MORE...

The first time seeing a Mustang and knowing how cool it would be to own one was back in 1982. A friend of my dad’s had a pristine 1965 Fastback in Red, and that’s when the love of the Mustang first came to be. Needless to say, after taking my first ride sealed the deal even more, and a few years later I purchased my first 1966 Mustang Coupe.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. Fast forward to 2017, I was fortunate enough to buy the Shelby GT350. Talk about one hella machine! It was everything I could imagine and then some. Truly one of the best moments in my life when it comes to owning a Shelby. Fast forward again to 2022, I purchased a 2017 GT. The Shelby and the GT has gone through many changes with various mods and body enhancements. The S550 is by far my favorite body style and looking forward to making the 2017 GT even better.

THE S550 IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE BODY STYLE WITH ITS SLEEK DESIGNS AND RAW POWER THAT IT PUNCHES RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE.

My passion goes back 18 years when my first Mustang was a 1991 5.0 GT Foxbody. I grew up around a family of Mustang enthusiasts who got me hooked. I have owned over 16 different V8 Mustangs over the course of my life but the S550 is by far my favorite body style with its sleek designs and raw power that it punches right out of the gate.

Mods include a JLT CAI, MBRP catback exhaust, tuned on E85/93 octane, backed behind a Mt 82 manual transmission with Barton short throw and RTR performance shift knob, Niche Dfs 20 x 10.5 wheels, and 315/30r20 Nitto 555 g2 tires.

Hey my name is Justin and this is my 2017 Mustang GT called “Galactic”. I bought this car bone stock after wrecking my Harley back in 2019 and after a couple years of turning a wrench in my driveway, you get what you see here. Complete with a 3H kit from Airlift Performance, on some bronze Avid 1 AEO6. Who said reps can’t be cool?

A small build list contains Morimoto fog lights, VIS Terminator R carbon fiber hood, complete carbon fiber trunk with molded carbon fiber duck bill spoiler, some fancy lighting behind the grille, built headlights, MBRP exhaust, and much more. This car and myself are a member of Team Sunworks and we’re out of the Fort Smith, Arkansas chapter. Thank you for taking a look at my car!

This is my 2020 Ford Mustang GT with RTR upgrades (spec3). It is a 10 speed auto and has 3.55 gears, full Steeda suspension, Roush phase2 supercharger, fully ported and tuned by PBD putting down 780 whp. It is running a water/ methanol injection system and many other mods.

My first car was a 78 Mustang, then transferred to the Foxbody Mustangs later. I have always had a love of Mustangs and have owned approximately 25 total. My oldest daughter is even named Shelby.

I belong to the Mustangs of Cincinnati club and also the Pineapple Gang club. In my free time, I love hanging with my Mustang friends or working on one of my three other Mustangs.

OTHERS HAVE HAD 15 MINUTES OF FAME BUT MUSTANGS ARE STILL HERE AND STILL GOING.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

Purple Haze is a 2022 hybrid package by the dealership I purchased her from. She is a GT Fastbask full Premium package with RTR tech 5 rims laced with Nitto tires. She has the full RTR suspension including the two inch drop and cambered alignment for drift and corners. She is not a true RTR because the dealer had the 10 speed auto and Roush active exhaust with Roush H-pipe. These two upgrades would not come with a spec2 and up true RTR. Off the floor with Roush hp adding 36 hp, she drove off at close to 500 hp (496) prior to my second air box filter delete and adding a drop in K&N filter.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. definitely feel when you open them up.

In a world of cars, the Mustangs have always been the true threshold and eye candy to the automotive world. Others have had 15 minutes of fame but Mustangs are still here and still going. They set the bar in 1964.1/2 and still do today.

She was hit by a wreckless driver at 374.1 miles but we got her back mint minus the true RTR accent lights the dealer had. Instead, the body shop ordered some cheap 2017 China knock offs but I’m replacing them back to the original this fall.

Purple Haze is my baby. It turns heads and flat out gets on down the road considering no mods or upgrades than the dealership RTR suspension and Roush exhaust. BTW she is very loud, turning heads everywhere.

The love of Mustangs is just phenomenal. Such beautiful cars with so many luxuries and still that muscle car look and

This is Ruby, my 2018 GT 5.0 PP1 bought in September 2021. I’ve done mostly cosmetic stuff to her. I have changed out the CAI for JLT which definitely makes a difference.

During the pandemic, I became very much an introvert and I knew I needed something to get me out socializing again. I’ve always wanted a Mustang so at 56 years old I finally bought my Ruby. She brings me joy every day and I have met some really great people along the way.

My grandson is 13 and he and I bond over our love of Mustangs and fast cars.

My brother had some friends who he went to the Carlisle Ford Nationals with for years who owned Mustangs. So one day, he said we should get cars so we can join in on the fun also. So shortly after that, I discovered this 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost at Queen City Motors of Cumberland, MD back in September 2017. A friend of mine was a salesman there so he and I went for the test drive. I bought the car that day and have owned it ever since.

My love and passion for muscle cars has been in my heart from childhood up until now and for years to come. My late father, who passed away almost four years back now, had told us boys several stories of the multiple muscle cars he had been fortunate enough to own over the years in his life before we came along. To name a few, Dad owned a Ford Torino, two Ford Mustangs, a Plymouth Cuda, and a few others. I had been so intrigued that I knew one day I’d have a muscle car of my own. Then I ended up owning two Ford Mustangs as well when I grew up.

I first saw this 2019 Ford Mustang GT on the Queen City Motors of Cumberland, MD website while I was at the Carlisle Ford Nationals back in July 2019. Immediately, I told myself I just had to get back and at least test drive it before someone else bought it. I returned from Carlisle Sunday after the show but couldn’t get down to test drive the car until that Tuesday. Much to my surprise, it was still on the car lot so I asked to test drive the car. Upon return to the dealership from the test drive, I told the salesman that I wanted the car and we started the paperwork. I own it to this day and have made various changes and improvements over the past few years.
