Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
The passion of owning a Mustang started when I was a young man taking many joy rides in my aunt and uncle’s Boss 302 and Mach 1. I have always dreamed of owning a Mustang. The Shelby is my dream car and the third Mustang I have owned. What child does not dream of owning, driving, and racing a Shelby?
This car is named after my great granddaughter Annabell Rose and she will inherit this car when she is 21 and knows how to handle and take care of it. The passion should be passed on and we try to involve the children at every car show we attend allowing them to sit in the car and take pictures. They are the next generation of car enthusiasts and if we do not get them involved now the car show scene will fade away.

I’ve owned roughly a dozen or so Mustangs in my lifetime, from a 1965 Coupe to my current 2021 Mustang GT Premium A10 Auto. Some had V8s, some were six cylinders, but I loved each and every one of them. But growing up in the 60s and early 70s, my favorite Mustangs were always the Shelbys! It was never any secret to my family and friends that if I ever had the means to purchase one, I would! In fact, I made it known that my “lottery car”, the car I would buy if by some miracle I ever won the lottery, would be a 1968 Shelby GT500KR. That never came to pass, but fast forward to July 2012, and I had the opportunity to purchase a beautiful black and silver 2011 Shelby GT500, with only 2,000 miles on it, my Black Snake! It meant having to sell my beloved 2003 Torch Red Mustang Mach 1 that I had built into a badass street car, and trading my wife’s 2011 Pony Package V6, but the deal went forward, and I never

In late summer of 2019, I decided to have major performance modifications done to the car, along with some personalized modifications to the interior in the form of carbon fiber dash, door, and console overlays along with an upgrade to the radio/nav system in the form of a Phoenix Radio 12 inch Tesla style Android touch screen tablet that not only lets me rock out to my favorite tunes, but also stream YouTube videos, run Android apps, and even display an array of gauges through a Bluetooth ODBII connection!

THE CAR HAS BEEN AN ABSOLUTE JOY TO HAVE.
My name is Jon Fink. This is my GT500 called BLUSNKE. She’s a 2020 in Velocity Blue with the Handling Package and Technology Package. I have always been interested in cars, fast cars, since the 70s and 80s. There is nothing like that feeling and sound of a muscle car making a hard pull. I had mostly beater V8s once I started driving but always had that need for speed. My first Mustang was a 1989 GT 5.0 that I had a blast with. I got married, had a kid, and there were no muscle cars again until later in life. In my 50s now and in a position where I could get back into a car, I began looking at 13-14 GT500s on the used market right when Ford announced the return of the GT500 for 2020. This shifted my focus to a new one. I got into the game late in the ordering process so most of the dealer allocations were already spoken for. I called up and down the east coast looking for a dealer to place an order for me finally finding Loudon Motors Ford in Ohio. I placed my order in February of 2020 and then Covid hit, delaying the build multiple times, until I took delivery of this car at the end of July of 2020.

The car has been an absolute joy to have. The color seems to catch all of the attention getting many compliments. It is mildly modified and feels great making pulls. It makes just under 800 RWHP currently. If someone wants a ride, I almost always get them that ride along to show them what the car will do. I feel that everyone interested in cars should at least get to ride in one like this. I attend many car cruises/shows and attend Test n Tune sessions regularly at

A few weeks before I was born in December of 1965 my father purchased a 1966 Mustang Coupe. I was brought home from the hospital in that Baby Blue Mustang. We had that car for seven years. I have tried to locate that car recently as I have a desire for a classic Mustang and that one, but I was not able to locate any documentation with the VIN.

When I was 18, the first car I bought was a 1980 Mustang LX Foxbody in Black and Gold pin striping. It was a good car, but I did not truly appreciate it at that time. I have always had a passion for Fords but have had other cars and other car makers throughout my life. When I sit in a Mustang though, something stirs in me.
In 2016, I traded my 2012 Ford Escape for a 2016 Mustang GT Premium in Deep Impact Blue. I called him “Clark”. He was Superman Blue so it made sense. On May 7, 2019, we were t-boned in an intersection in Sacramento. He was totaled but he gave his all to keep me safe. A week later, I bought a 2019 Mustang GT PP2. It was an awesome car. I called him “Bruce” as it was black on black and looked and sounded amazing. When I went to see about getting Bruce supercharged during COVID in May of 2020, I came across this GT500 sitting in the showroom and was offered an

All the updates or “mods” from the original build have been done by Shelby American. In February 2022, George became SAI build #40 of 100 Signature Edition builds. It does have a custom built Mishimoto radiator overflow tank in billet aluminum to match other billet aluminum covers in the engine bay.

This is my 2007 Shelby GT500 “Grabber” and it is one of 13 stripe delete cars built in Grabber Orange in 2007.
This Mustang is equipped with Eibach Multi-Pro R2 coilovers, Maximum camber plates, UMI - UCA / LcA - on car adjustable poly-roto joints, Fays2 watts link, painted rear end, AFCO twin 10” fan intercooler, FP Blue valve covers, billeted coil covers, Hose Candy carbon/kevlar hose covers and boa clamp hose clamps (no metal hose clamps), Shelby Baer Racing brakes front and rear, Forgestar F14 wheels, full carbon fiber splitter/rockers/diffuser by Raceskinz, 2013/14 Lighted sill plates - plug and play integrated by me (no splicing), and 2013/14 Recaro seats (powered). Fun fact: At that time, GT500s did not come with power passenger seats. The fuse box had an empty slot marked power seats with no wire or sockets to install a fuse. I researched and found all the factory connectors and using the factory diagrams used correct wiring color and hand laced it into the factory wiring harness through the firewall and to the fuse box. Just like it would be in a convertible from the factory.

This car was easy, I checked off every box! This GT 500 is 1 of 81 in this configuration. Recaro seats, glass roof, track pack, electronics package with nav, and SVT performance package. It’s got it all!
The hard part was waiting almost 10 months for delivery. It’s kind of nice to have every piece of documentation from the security deposit check when I ordered the car, to the Mustang brochure, to the build sheet and every receipt of mods and parts that went on the car.

It’s hard to believe the car will be 10 years old with 20,000
miles already. I plan to keep the car for a long time and give it to my son someday. We also have a 2003 Mach 1 and a 2002 GT and enjoy all of them every chance we get. There’s a Foxbody next on our list once we find the right one. But the 13-14 S197 is my favorite body style.

My car is a 2007 Shelby GT500 that I just purchased it a couple of months ago. Three to be exact. I have a parts pile I’m accumulating, but for now she’s bone stock with 21,000 miles. I transferred a muffler delete from my prior 08 Mustang GT but that’s about it. I haven’t quite come up with a nickname for her yet so we will just refer to her as Shelby.

I really appreciate it for what it is. The Shelby heritage is unlike any other. I remember playing video games as a kid that had this exact car in it. Growing up, I remember seeing these cars going to Mustang/MCA events and it instantly became a dream car. I’ve owned various years and Mustangs run deep in my family, however the Shelby overall, in stock form, has kept a constant smile on my face since the day I brought her home. These cars were meant to be driven and it really shows on those good PA back roads. Carroll Shelby really knew what he was doing, a true legend, and I simply love the car and what Mustangs mean to me and so many others that I’ve met. Cars like these are what brings people together and we need more of that in this world!

I FELL HEAD OVER HEELS IN LOVE WITH MY SHELBY MUSTANG FROM THE MOMENT I GOT BEHIND THE WHEEL.
I have always had a deep passion for cars, especially Mustangs. From a young age, I was captivated by their sleek design and powerful engines. Growing up, I would spend hours poring over car magazines and dreaming of the day I would own my own Mustang. In December 2019, my dream became a reality when I purchased a 2019 GT350 Shelby Mustang. Being a devoted Tony Stewart fan, I lovingly named my new ride “Smoke.”

I fell head over heels in love with my Shelby Mustang from the moment I got behind the wheel. The raw performance and thunderous sound of the engine were nothing short of exhilarating. I was so enamored with my car that I decided not to make any modifications, believing that it was perfect just the way it was. At 70 years old, I show no signs of slowing down. In fact, the Mustang bug has bitten me harder than ever before. Currently, I am channeling my passion into giving my other Mustang, a classic ‘70 Mach 1, a complete restoration.
My love for cars and my unyielding spirit are a testament to the timeless allure of Mustangs and the joy they bring to enthusiasts of all ages.

IT WILL SOMEDAY MAKE ITS WAY OUT TO LAS VEGAS TO VISIT SHELBY AMERICAN...
I placed the order for my car four days after the prototype was unveiled to the public... then waited a year and a half to get the keys in my hand. It was a long wait, but it was definitely worth waiting for. I had always wanted a Shelby, even to the extent of making my version of a a tribute GT-350 from a 1980 Mustang Hatchback, but they always seems to increase more each year in value than my wallet would allow. When Carroll got back with Ford in 2007 to create the new generation GT500s, all that changed.

My car has bolt-on engine mods and a full suspension re-do. I have done all the work on the car myself, with the exception of the TSB clutch replacement. While I always want the car to look as clean and well maintained as possible, it also spends time on the track with Team Shelby at many of their HPDE events. It has been the Pace Car for many of these track days and has also paced the Coatesville Vintage Grand Prix. It will someday make its way out to Las Vegas to visit Shelby American for the annual Shelby Bash, but for now, its content to wait in the garage, as long as I bring it home some nice new part to install on it.

Owning a Shelby GT500 is one of the greatest things to happen to me. I have always had a passion for cars. This passion was instilled in me by my father at a very young age. I remember seeing a picture of a Mustang my father owned before I was born and I immediately fell in love with the car. I would tag along to cars shows with my dad hoping to have a car someday worthy of taking to car shows for people to admire.
If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
I finally have that car, a 2020 Grabber Lime GT500. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would own a car like this. I take Carroll Shelby’s advice about how these cars are meant to be driven and I drive it every day as long as Colorado weather permits. I love to take my car to as many car shows that I can. The thrill I get seeing people admire my car is incredible. I love talking to people about my car. I have had people ask me “Why do you drive a car like that?” and “What made you buy a car like that?” My initial response was “Because I can” but then I follow it with the story about my dad. They then get to see the passion and understand why. My car has been featured in a local calendar, has been on display at a local vehicle museum, and has been featured in a previous edition of STANG Magazine. We even won a trophy for the “Most Unique” at the 2022 Colorado Shelby Rally.

knew existed. I have developed friendships with amazing fellow Shelby owners. I have been a part of an exclusive Shelby Rally in Colorado. I am also expanding my knowledge of Carroll Shelby and all he has done and continues to do in the automotive industry.

Modifications to the car include Jokerz race ported blower, 2.6 Pulley, JLT intake, Billet fuel rails, 1050 ID injectors, resonator delete, Borla Atak exhaust, CFTP rear seat delete with Watson 4 point harness powder coated to match the car, Signature 3-piece custom wheels – 21x11 with 295/30/21 tires on the front and 21x11.5 with 325/20/21 tires on the rear.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!
I am a long time Mustang owner. I bought my first one when graduating from college in 1987. I also have an 87 T-Top Mustang GT project car. I was co-founder and President of Mustangs of Massachusetts for several years.
I found this Shelby at a Dodge dealer in Clearwater, Florida in November of 2018. I put a deposit on it over the phone on a Tuesday, flew down one-way on Wednesday and drove it back to Massachusetts in 25 hours (23 hours driving).
It has bolt on mods including 2.4”pulley, JLT Big Air, Ford Performance throttle body, NGK plugs, and upgraded belt pulleys. It was dyno tuned by Performance Dyno making 709RWHP and 739TQ.

Here’s my 2020 Shelby GT350R that I dubbed “The Wizard”. I’ve always been a diehard Ford fan, specifically Mustangs. My first car when I was 16 was a 1969 Mach 1. From there, I’ve owned many Mustangs over the years. I currently own the Shelby, a completely restored 1971 Mach 1 (STANG Magazine April 2022 issue) and a 1993 Mustang GT convertible.
I recently purchased the Shelby and have been driving it every chance I get. I am also a numbers guy. I like to know how rare or unique a car is. Ford made 31 Grabber Lime GT350Rs. Out of those 31, 14 of them received black over the top stripes. Out of those 14, only 5 came from the factory with a black painted roof. It’s a 1 of 5. It is currently 100% stock. This car will stick around for a very long time.

IT IS DEFINITELY THE FASTEST, MOST THRILLING, AND SCARY FAST CAR THAT I HAVE EVER DRIVEN!
I have had a passion for Mustangs since I was a teenager. Over the years, I have owned 8 Mustangs and I have loved each of them. But the dream was always the Shelby GT500. When I met my husband, he also had a Mustang. That’s how I knew he was the one! Together, we achieved the dream of owning a Shelby GT500. Most days, I still can’t believe it.

This car is so fun to drive and turns heads wherever we go. It is definitely the fastest, most thrilling, and scary fast car that I have ever driven! To quote the late, great Carroll Shelby, “There is no such thing as too much horsepower... just not enough traction.” He’s not wrong!
Mods include a Borla Atak exhaust, JLT cold air intake, and MSD Performance coil packs.
