Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

LIFE’S INTERCONNECTED JOURNEYS Our journey through this life is often interconnected, without us even realizing it. When we meet people in a certain timeframe of our life, we show each other a snapshot of our past and present life experiences. Those past experiences are an amalgamation that shaped who we currently are. Sometimes it’s a death that brings

FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER, I’VE ALWAYS BEEN FASCINATED WITH CARS. FROM BODY LINES TO THE RAW POWER PUT TO THE GROUND, I’VE LOVED IT ALL. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated with cars. From body lines to the raw power put to the ground, I’ve loved it all. As I got older, the hobby got more and more expensive. It all starts with 99¢ and a dream. When it comes to Mustangs, honestly I haven’t been a life long fan like most. Even more honestly when the S550 first came out, I thought it looked nothing like a Mustang. Fast forward to 2020 when I wanted a sports car. I compared a Mustang to an SS and an SRT-8 only to realize how much Mustangs have to offer. I bought a bone stock Kona Blue Mustang…and Lucifer was born and is the daily race machine that he is. Lucifer is equipped with a Vortech supercharger with 3.3 pulley, Roush exhaust, Fore fuel system (ID1050X injectors), JLT intake, and lots of Andersons Composites carbon all around. THE SMITHS ARE A MUSTANG FAMILY. AS A MATTER OF FACT, THEY HAVE OWNED SIX MUSTANGS SO FAR AND... The Smiths are a Mustang family. As a matter of fact, they have owned six Mustangs so far and are already planning their next purchase. This father and son duo has their second set of Mustangs. The father, Frank, got his first V6 Mustang in 1994 when the new body style came out. It was burgundy and the first one in their area. His high school sweethear t, Jennifer, got a 1984 Mustang Convertible for her 16th birthday. It was her dream car which was red with a white top. The couple married and gave up the Mustangs for SUVs and four door cars that were easier for a young family to use car seats and haul sports equipment. They always said that one day they would get another Mustang. Fast forward over 20 years later, when their son, Will, got his first 2014 Mustang V6 for his 15th birthday and Frank got a 2015 EcoBoost Mustang. Both Mustangs were white and quite eye-catching as a pair in their small town. This father and son duo enjoyed car shows, meets, and cruises. In 2020 during Covid, this father and son duo decided it was time for an upgrade and shopped around the very limited inventory. They found and purchased two Mustang GTs with consecutive VIN numbers.
Frank’s Mustang “Smokey” came off the line first and is a beautiful Magnetic Metallic Gray color. Will’s Mustang followed right behind on the line and is “The Bandit’’ which is a shiny Shadow Black color. The Smith’s now all live in Charleston, SC and enjoy the southern charm of cruising through the historic streets, traveling over the iconic Ravenel Bridge, and enjoying many beach days. Frank is a tech teacher on James Island who enjoys surfing, family trips, and fresh seafood. Will attends the College of Charleston

In 1911, Dr. Samuel Dixon received 500 acres of donated land in which to build the Cresson State Tuberculosis Sanatorium (also known as Allegheny Tuberculosis Sanatorium). Children were admitted to the sanatorium for treatment as early as 1915 and existed until 1950, when it was converted into a general hospital area for adults. In June of 1956, the site became the Lawrence Flick State Hospital (also known as Allegheny State Hospital). The site was renamed to Allegheny State School and Hospital in 1964 and Cresson Center in 1970. Cresson Center ceased operation in December 1982 and in 1984 the site was renovated to become a medium security prison facility for men known as SCI Cresson.
