Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

STEPPING BACK INTO HISTORY

As we begin our journey into the descent of madness that is my mind and the crazy antics of my life, I would like to first introduce myself. My name is TJ, blah blah blah, that sums it up and all you need to know. Whew…got past the CRAP no one cares about! Now for the good stuff. Mustang culture is one that is very unique and brings

together people from all walks of life. One thing is for

adventures like no other.

Welcome back STANG enthusiasts. It is April and we are all revving up for the start of a new season. The fresh crisp morning air and the sounds of a huge posse of Mustangs roaring down the street is like being in heaven. One of my favorite events to attend are the STANG Paranormal ghost hunts. I have always enjoyed visiting old sites of the spooky and macabre. Do I see any ghosts? No, but to step back into history and submerse yourself into someone else’s shoes and live through their experiences is wild. One tour that comes to mind is the Old Jail Museum in

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania. Built in 1869-1870, this jail has a very dark history. Seven Irish coal miners known as members of the Molly Maguires, were hanged here for

Foxxy Baby has opened the door to a community of car enthusiasts that have become family as well as mentors. Foxxy Baby is stabled in a custom garage built just for her. Upgrading and customizing her has quickly become a passion and a labor of love. Maintaining Foxxy Baby in all her glory is my Nirvana. Little did I know that a 1993 Ford Mustang GT would have such a positive effect on my life, but here we are!

that in 2017 that dream became a reality. Known as Foxxy Baby, she is powered by a 351w, topped with Trick Flow aluminum heads, Lunati hydraulic roller cam, fuel-injected, and backed by a T-5 manual transmission. Electric Red paint covering her body highlights all of her curves and it reflects our fiery attitude. The deep rumble coming from the exhaust takes me to my happy place. Often appearing at local car shows, cruise-ins, and the drag strip.

GRAY MARE – 1988 GT

WHEN I TURNED 18 AND GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL, MY DAD GIFTED ME A 1988 MUSTANG GT, THIS EXACT CAR ACTUALLY. Cars and fast street cars especially have been a part of my life and in my family since before I was born. From my grandparents having all sorts of hot rods to my dad and uncle. When I turned 18 and graduated high school, my dad gifted me a 1988 Mustang GT, this exact car actually. The car has come a very long way from where it started when I got it. The day I got

15x3.5 up front and 15x10 with 28x10.50 Hoosiers on the back. All Team UPR suspension is on the car to get it to hook on the street or track. Two Kirkey seats, an 8 point roll bar, ARC switch panel, and the rest of the factory interior rounds up the inside. I want to give a couple shout outs to the people involved in the car and that’s my dad for getting me into cars and gifting me the car ten years ago, thanks dad. Chris for all that he has done from wiring, motor work, trans work, nitrous setup and tuning. Drew with all the fab and chassis work he has done with the car to get it to work better and to be safer. It’s always a team effort and I have the best possible team hands down.

of school, it slowly started getting more and more changes. From wheels, to paint, to exhaust, an AOD with shift kit and converter, 4:10 gears, then a T5 swap and the fun really started. After losing many races to faster cars, especially my dad’s cars, I started saving every penny to make a race car. The current setup on the car is a 306 cubic inch small block with blue print 190cc heads, a Victor Jr. intake topped with a 780 cfm carburetor built by Patrick at Pro Systems, and a Zex nitrous plate kit to finish the top off. It has a C4 reverse manual valve body trans with a TCI converter, aluminum drive shaft to the factory 8.8 with welded tubes, and 31 spline c clip eliminator Moser axles. It sits on Bogart four lug wheels with

R AN DY RIGGANS MISCHIEF – 2011 V6

IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE A MUSTANG, YOU WILL NEVER BE ALONE. YOU WILL BE PART OF A BIG COMMUNITY AND FAMILY. My love of the Mustang began when I was about five years old and playing with my Hot Wheels on the kitchen floor. Although I had many and liked them all, I remember my grandma giving me a 1969 Mustang Boss 302 (no, I don’t think she knew what that was, lol). For some

my youngest graduated from high school and on my 52nd birthday, “Mischief” presented herself. The time was right and no point in waiting any longer because age wasn’t waiting, so I brought her home. I got her just because I wanted one so bad for so long and just wanted to go cruising and have date nights with my wife. But owning a Mustang became so much more than that. I met some new and great friends that we go to shows with. Fun people with big hearts. If you are lucky enough to have a Mustang, you will never be alone. So for my 50th birthday I ordered my Mustang with the 50th year appearance package. I chose the color because it was the closest to the color of the Bullitt Mustang I could get at the time. It is only slightly modified since I live in California and it is set up for driving road courses and canyon roads. I have met many fun and interesting people while I have owned the car and enjoy driving it very much. “It’s probably the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I didn’t have the courage to do what they do; to go over there and risk your life. They are the 1% and when you get a letter that says it’s a morale boost… it’s humbling” said Dawn Geigen.

Ready to Eat. They are meals in a Mylar type of packaging, not necessarily appealing and they do get old after eating them for a while. The showing was welcome and “The Rivalry” was born. Midway through the 2021 summer AWCPP made the rivalry official by advertising that the bragging rights title was up for grabs. Beltway Mustangs, Frederick Mustangs, the Carroll County Mustang Crew, and a few other Facebook groups joined up to bring between 80-90 Mustangs! Not only did we win the car count category, we swept the event by taking the 50/50 raffle prize and People’s Choice Award. The best part however was that our very own Douglas Smith drove our fearless leader’s (Daniel Ramey) STANG Magazine car (RNEGADE) to the event without him knowing. Dan was away for the weekend

Lighten your load – if you have a bunch of ‘stuff’ in your car, it’s additional weight the engine must pull and the car/ truck will consume more fuel. Tire pressure – Overinflated or underinflated tires will reduce you MPG (Miles Per Gallon) so set your air pressure to the cars factory specifications Cruise Control – Your car knows how to drive itself better than you do, in most cases; use cruise control whenever possible and let the car control the throttle.
