Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

He offered me the car back at an unbelievable deal but I hadn’t recovered enough to buy it back without borrowing money and I don’t borrow money for toys. I had to let it go. A couple years later, I got back on my feet, bought a semi, and became an owner operator instead of company driver and started hunting the car down which I did in April of 2020. I found it in Chandler, Indiana. It hadn’t changed much at all. I bought it back as a roller, found a 351 and put it down in there, and started enjoying the car again. Currently the car sports a ZSR 445 Dart block, 11.1 trick flow 240 high ports, with CHI 4.0 intake APD 1050 dominator making just under 800 horse and setup for a big dose of the laughing gas. I wanted to say I restored it all myself, so I did. I had to watch a lot of YouTube. Shout out to so many out there sharing “How to videos.” I had to learn how to weld, how to do body work, and even learned how to paint it myself. I did have a shop rebuild my transmission and another shop did the machine work on the 289, but I put it all together. It took me 4 1/2 years to finally finish

I will leave the meaning up to you to guess (hint: it’s a musical artist). Prior to the wedding, my husband created a custom blended shade of purple. We discussed stripes and he asked, what do you feel about lace? Seemed like a strange question until he showed me some cars with lacing techniques. Hard to say no to the option of wrapping my car in lace. He said “everyone loves a lady in lace”.

Extra special kudos to our neighbor whose shop was responsible for this INCREDIBLE new paint job - thanks Jon! I was told all parts were included in the purchase, but you know how that goes – not all parts were actually there. During the restoration, there were some ’68 parts that I liked better, which were used, to add my personal touch to the car. I wanted the car to feel stock but also give a resto-mod look. What little interior parts I did receive were Ivory Gold, and I wanted to change the interior to Black. Luckily the original dash pad was not cracked, so I dyed it Black, along with the A pillars. I recovered the seats and all of the fiberglass parts in the back were original and repainted Charcoal Metallic Black as well. The car was VERY clean and unbelievably rust-free. off initially. This allowed me to completely restore the car in just less than a year. We gave her a nick name “RONA”, because of the Corona virus, which went along with the Lime Gold color. The car was originally built and sold to Philco (an elec tronic and radio company associated with Ford in the 60s/70s). The original 289 engine was rebuilt with an Edelbrock cam/carb intake carb. The C4 transmission is also original. The Marti report shows it is 1 of 3 with options, including air, console, deluxe steering wheel, sport deck rear seat, power steering, and tinted glass. I regularly take the ’67 to car shows and have received multiple awards! PHOTO CRED: BRUCE HARPER

The showing was welcome and “The Rivalry” was born. Midway through the 2021 summer AWCPP made the rivalry official by advertising that the bragging rights title was up for grabs. Beltway Mustangs, Frederick Mustangs, the Carroll County Mustang Crew, and a few other Facebook groups joined up to bring between 80-90 Mustangs! Not only did we win the car count category, we swept the event by taking the 50/50 raffle prize and People’s Choice Award. The best part however was that our very own Douglas Smith drove our fearless leader’s (Daniel Ramey) STANG Magazine car (RNEGADE) to the event without him knowing. Dan was away for the weekend
