Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

She went through a lot of mods and a big build 351 Cleveland, then went into storage so we could raise the kids. I still stayed interested in cars, turning wrenches for a while, then chassis building drag and circle track cars. JOHN L IOI LOVING EVERY SECOND – 2013 SHELBY GT 500
AFTER DRIVING AND OWNING THIS CAR I DON’T THINK I’D EVER BE ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER CAR TO REPLACE THE FEELING IT GIVES ME. I LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT. My dream car was always a 2013-2014 GT500 ever since they came out. Something about that supercharger whine and easy bolt on power had me hooked. After working and saving for five years I had enough money to start looking for one. This car was at my local ford dealer with only 942 Miles and one owner. I knew I wanted to find a fairly clean non molested car to start my build. I went to look at the car and purchased it on February 26th of 2020. The car’s options are SVT Track Package, SVT Performance Package, Recaros, navigation, Shaker Pro audio, Shelby car cover, making it 1 of 10 optioned and colored this way in 2013. The car originally had red stripes but I peeled them off for a cleaner and more
simple look. After adding lots of bolt ons and carbon fiber with help from Boosted Fabrication and Performance in Middle River, Maryland, I was finally picturing the car I always dreamed of owning. I have always had a interest in drag racing so I went to Cecil County Dragway to see what it would do. I got a best ET of 10.02 @139 mph. I plan to have this car

Bill grew up always wanting a nitrous set up on one of his cars. “I used to run around in my 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner, dreaming of nitrous on it in the late 80s and early 90s”, he reminisces. Then adult life set in. Years later, the opportunity arrived for nitrous and Bill fulfilled his life-long dream. “With the great help from Nitrous Race Connection, I was set”, Shadbolt boasts. In fact, Bill is an original sponsored driver of Nitrous Race Connection. He racked in thirteen wins just in the first year of using a Nitrous Race Connection system! THERE IS NOTHING LIKE WAKING UP IN THE MORNING AND STARTING HIM UP TO HEAR THAT LOUD GROWL. Our story actually starts in 1985 when I got my first Mustang, a 1971 coupe with a 302 ci V8. The car was my mom and dad’s car, which they held on to until I was old enough to drive. With the help of a friend, I rebuilt and souped up the motor, much to the chagrin of my father, and drove it for several enjoyable years. In 1991,
Fast forward, and two healthy boys later, my oldest son Justin buys his first Mustang in 2012, while serving in the US Army. My youngest son, Cody, sees the fun of Mustang ownership and buys his first Mustang in 2017. Both my wife, Shawna, and I fell in love with the stock Yellow Blaze color (according to my son, rare for the year and model). In 2020, Cody decides to “upgrade” to a 2016 Shelby Cobra GT350. With a little coaxing from my wife, we bought his first Mustang from him, thus keeping it in the family. Now we have a “true” Mustang family that enjoys the car show seasons together. PS- The 71 is still in mothballs waiting to be resurrected.

Snowbird’s 89 GT vert remained a constant.
my mom fell in love with a used 89 GT vert on a local car lot. Within days, my dad “SNOWBIRD” bought the car solely because she loved it. Snowbird taught me how to drive in this car and he trusted me enough to allow me to drive it to my Senior Prom in 1997. My first car was a 1987 LX 5.0 hatch acquired in 1996, so we had a great outlet for a father/son relationship helping and competing against each other. I would go on to be in the Mustang hobby for over 26 years, tinkering with every chassis/
Snowbird would go on to carb swap the car shortly after he installed an X303 cam, which was more suitable to his tuning. Unfortunately his health would deteriorate over the years, and the 89 GT vert’s condition would parallel. Snowbird passed away in 2018, and the car was given to me to care for. I spent 2.5 years restoring the car in my home garage and spent many hours on the road sourcing OEM parts that had disappeared.

DE R RIC K MASS EY SNOWBIRD – 1989 GT CONVERTIBLE I decided to restore the 89 GT vert back to a periodcorrect near stock condition… completely restoring the interior with a full disassembly re-dye and installing new carpet, undoing some appearance mods, and reinstalling fuel injection with the Cobra intake setup. The addition of dumped Spintech 9000 mufflers really makes the X303 cam chop trees. New weather seals, exterior moldings, updated suspension/brakes were also sourced. The Stern 3-piece wheels fell into my lap after years of persistence, and the subtle addition of the Cerbinator rear spoiler matches well along with the BMR springs stance. This 89 GT vert will remain a tribute to SNOWBIRD. He was a show-off and I will happily show the car off in his honor. PHOTO CRED: AMY JEFFREY

it felt very comfortable to deal with an old friend. My wife and I, Connie, were only looking for a daily driver. My wife had seen the car on the showroom floor and called me and said, “This is it. This is the car we need to purchase”. It has the horsepower I am looking for and all the options I want. I was thinking that we could use the car for father and son bonding, going to car shows and such, so we bought it.
April 17, 2004 changed everything for us. We went to the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Mustang at The Nashville Speedway. We were helping our club with the parking arrangements for all the cars coming into the show. I got to meet one of my heros, Carroll Shelby. I asked him if he would sign the dash of my car and he said, “pull that thing up here son and let’s do it.” I pulled my car up for him to sign and I told him sir, “I’m sorry Mr.

We joined the local Mustang Club, Music City Mustangs. It was there that we learned the proper way to clean our car for all the car shows we were attending. From that point on, the car took its own path. We only took it to car shows from that moment on. Countless people have taken pictures with the car and stood in line to see his autograph. We make it a point to go to a lot of the smaller hometown shows just so people can see it and the Carroll Shelby signature. We very seldom enter the shows anymore, just display only. I really enjoy watching the reactions and the fathers explaining who Carroll Shelby is and how he made history in the sports car and racing markets. There is nothing like watching a small child sit in the driver’s seat of the car, with the biggest of grins, just to get a picture taken of them by their parents. To me, that is what it is all about, family time… Now that I am older, my son Kyle is the one taking the car to all the car shows and enjoying the frills and enjoyment that comes with it. Just passing this car down to my children makes every penny of money and time, well spent. PHOTO CRED: DIANNA DRAPER
