Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. Thank you Mustang fans and enjoy your ride! - Daniel Ramey, Editor-In-Chief

You heard right, the 2022 Carlisle Ford Nationals (June 3-5) became the largest car show ever produced by Carlisle Events and in doing so, broke a record previously set in 2003 by a non-Ford event. This makes the Carlisle Ford Nationals THE “King of the Hill” at Carlisle and with room to spare over some of its brand X competitors.

As always, STANG Magazine was in attendance and doing our part to make sure that this year’s Carlisle Ford Nationals was unforgettable. Not only did we have our annual display on the Midway with our select Mustangs, we hosted the Friday Night Kick-Off Concert, hosted a Saturday Social Hour Meet & Greet at the main stage, and spearheaded the STANG Mag Rev Your Engine Tribute for our deceased loved ones who were all major players in the Carlisle Mustang scene and painfully missed by all. From sun up to sun down Thursday to Sunday, Carlisle Ford Nationals was off the hook with so much to see, do, and experience! All the major Mustang companies were on site including Roush, Saleen, and Shelby. There were new released Mustang, Bronco, and other Ford models on display. Carlisle even provided the opportunity to meet and greet Ford celebrities as they do every year. Around every corner, you never know who you will run into. For

us, Carlisle has become home and a chance to enjoy the passion that we all share. For those who have never experienced Carlisle Ford Nationals, we strongly urge you to make the trip and experience it for yourself. It is unlike any other Ford event in the country and it is much more than just a simple show. It is a long weekend of fun, sun, and your face smiling so hard it will hurt for weeks afterwards.

After months of preparation, the day finally came and the STANG Magazine Friday Night Kick-Off Concert was born! The Carlisle stage was revived and a long standing tradition was reborn! The stage was set, our Mustangs were parked and displayed in the pit, and we rocked out until the sun went down. Not only did Ten Ton Stone deliver a stellar performance, they even invited two of our staff members to join them in showing off their guitar skills by aiding in playing the song “Keep on Rocking in the Free World”. Needless to say Doug and TJ, who were the staff that got to play on stage, will never forget that moment and neither will the rest of us for that matter. Just seeing them smile the entire time while wailing on those strings was priceless. Ten Ton Stone killed it and they went above and beyond in helping bring back a Carlisle tradition that we hope will now continue and never get lost again. We can’t thank Carlisle enough for the opportunity and we can’t thank Ten Ton Stone enough for the memories. Special thanks to the members for a great night. Holly on vocals, PW on lead guitar, Tommy on drums, Jeff on bass, and Wolfie on rhythm guitar, you all ROCK! Special thanks also goes out to Rob Walko for capturing the night and delivering photos that will forever go down in STANG Mag and Carlisle Ford Nationals history!

DOUG SMITH presentation that I was able to see firsthand was Emeline King, Transportation Designer for Ford. It was a great interview and a great story to back it up. Walking the show field was amazing, seeing some of the most beautiful cars and trucks ever. Mustangs, Thunderbirds, F-150s, Crown Vics, Probes and Pintos, there was something for everyone to enjoy and appreciate. I will admit, I am a little biased, so as a Shelby owner, I could not wait to check out the 60 Years of Shelby display in Building T. 60 years of Carroll Shelby’s vision, presented in awe inspiring beauty! Due to the number of vehicles on display and a mere three days to see it all, it was difficult to take everything in, but there’s always next year! STANG Magazine will be back, on the Midway, and bigger than ever! If you didn’t get a chance to see us this year, make sure you stop by in 2023, meet the STANG crew and get your own ride featured in an upcoming issue. Looking forward to seeing you there! Carlisle while participating in the Carlisle Ford Nationals Parade were just a few of many great memories made this year. Although, one will stick out more to me than the rest and that would be the STANG Mag Social Hour. We were invited by Carlisle Fairgrounds to take over the Main Stage area, introduce ourselves, and entertain the crowd. We brought our cars up in front of the stage and made them available for the families and kids to enjoy, that’s where it struck home for me. Watching the kids come up close with their parents and enjoy the same experience I had with my dad when I was their age. Letting them sit in the car for pictures and talking with them about it. Seeing them smile big with their eyes lit up when I told them they could get in. To me, that was an extremely special moment and I’d like to thank Daniel Ramey of STANG Magazine as well as the organizers of Carlisle Ford Nationals for making this happen. It is something I know I will never forget, and I hope the families and children that enjoyed will have lifelong memories of it as well.

This year for 2022, and hands down the Coolest Club on the East Coast, Venom Invasion took the spotlight with their display that made both kids and adults smile from ear to ear. With a massive pirate ship theme, Venom Invasion took no quarter and demolished all competition to claim their title as Carlisle Ford National’s 2022 Coolest Club award recipient.

East coast. Let’s face it, Pennsylvania has numerous shows and events but it is Pennsylvania. Florida has the constant sunshine, Daytona Beach, and tons of eye candy. It is definitely the spot to be if you really want to have a killer Mustang retreat! This year we were blessed to have Jeff and Nate in attendance at Carlisle Ford Nationals to help support STANG Magazine and to promote their Mustangs At Daytona event. We were able to check out both replica Mustangs of Lightning McQueen and Barricade. Amazing in their own right, these two Mustangs traveled all the way from Florida just to be a part of our beloved Carlisle Ford Nationals. In turn, we are returning the favor and will be heading to Daytona so that Florida can get to check out some of our wicked STANG Magazine Mustangs. Like we said many, many times before, Carlisle Ford Nationals is like a reunion. We meet up with friends and family from Carlisle Ford Nationals in every aspect was this year’s best event to date.
