Mustang enthusiasts have asked for a magazine that has no ads, no sales pitches, and no bogus “fillers” to eat up space. They have asked for a magazine that is free, easy to access, and nothing but focused on Mustang pictures and content. They have asked for a magazine produced and written by Mustang owners. They have asked for a magazine that highlights the daily drivers and the average Mustang that is driven and is not a trailer queen. They have asked for the chance to one day have their ride, their group, their club, or their cause to be recognized in print or online. It is our absolute pleasure to meet these standards and to give you STANG Magazine. We hope that both our message and our image will be seen in every Mustang community out there. This is my 2001 Mustang, nicknamed ABADPONY, that I’ve owned since 2005, when I was 15 years old. What started out as a basic V6 daily driver, ended up as a fun weekend/show car that I have shared my enjoyment with my entire family for the past 18 years! I originally set out to find a yellow Mustang and wasn’t happy until I finally found this one in Zinc Yellow! As soon as I got it, my aunt signed me up for a club called the Yellow Mustang Registry, member #5578. Since then, my love for Mustangs, and especially the color yellow, has grown significantly and now consumes my life (YMR family- if you know, you know!). I’ve used this car in my wedding and part of both of my kids’ gender reveals!

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

After high school, my car began transforming into a weekend driver/show car as I began to add and modify. Some of these mods include Cobra R2000 body parts, Steeda wing, powder coated Bullitt style 18x9/10 wheels, rear diffuser, custom interior, and custom cam and engine work by Fastlane Motorsports in Benson, NC. I began taking my car to shows frequently and my love for yellow Mustangs spread to my parents, who bought a 2005 GT in Screaming Yellow! We have gone to many shows together over the years, including our favorite YMR show that happens every year in Pigeon Forge, TN. Now that I have two kids, my love for Mustangs and cars has spread to my daughter, who is now 6, and I’m beginning to get my 2-year-old son more involved too. We thoroughly enjoy going to shows as a family and my daughter especially loves every chance she gets to ride

in the Mustang!

WE LOVE OUR MUSTANGS, ESPECIALLY OUR YELLOWS.

It may only be a V6, but it still turns heads when I drive by. My passion for Mustangs started when I first met my husband, Brian. At that time, he owned a 1984 white Mustang LX. Since then, there have been a few come and go. Currently in the stable we have a 2011 V6 Grabber Blue (our very first new Mustang) and a 2015 Triple Yellow Badged GT with a 3.0 Whipple supercharger.

BOLT is a 2017 V6 Triple Yellow with a few extra exterior OUTLAW add-ons from Classic Design Concepts, only two more mods before BOLT becomes a badged OUTLAW Car.

If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

BOLT also has a few add-ons under the hood, a JTL cold air intake, a custom SCT tuner, Ford Performance cross brace, Ford Performance hood struts, currently running 20 X 10 Gun Metal Grey Outlaw rims sporting Nitto 555 295-35ZR tires and I can’t forget the Roush axle back exhaust.

Yes, you are seeing a pattern - we love our Mustangs, especially our YELLOWS. Both hubby and I are actively involved in the Yellow Mustang Registry. The YMR has us traveling from Canada to the USA meeting great people, who we now consider family.

I WOULD CALL IT DAFFODIL AS WE ARE WELSH AND IT IS OUR NATIONAL FLOWER.

I bought my Mustang from a chap down south. He was using it as his daily car and it had been written off at the age of two and repaired.

I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

We bought it, then we customized it with the side decals and the galloping horses down the front, although they do look a bit like we threw paint at it. It has got lowered coilovers, Whiteline anti roll bar, LED lights, front and back ventilated and grooved discs, and apart from that, it is pretty much stock. No superchargers or noisy exhausts.

It is a Screaming Yellow 2005 S197 and just showing a few signs of rust. It doesn’t really have a name but I would call it Daffodil as we are Welsh and it is our national flower.

The love for Mustangs began at a young age for me. We just happened to stumble across a Mustang Week in the early beginnings and the first car I noticed was a 2003 Cobra. At that moment, I knew exactly the car I wanted and thus it became my dream car.

I was finally able to make that a reality in 2015 and drove to Louisiana from West Virginia to pick up this Zinc Yellow Cobra I still own today. It started as a bolt on car and evolved into a big blower/built motor Cobra. I’ve had every big name roots and twin screw on it, with the last being a 2.9 Whipple Crusher. Beginning in 2022, I really wanted to separate my car from most of the others seen on the road, so I started a journey of using twin turbos. This current build is ongoing.

Mods list includes Twin Precision 6466 turbos, built motor, aluminum block, 10.7:1 compression, built Th400, built SRA, E85, and high boost

MY WIFE BEGGED ME TO LEAVE THIS CAR ALONE...

My first Yellow Mustang was a Hot Wheels 1979 Mustang that I got in my Christmas stocking around 1980. I carried that car every single place I went for as long as I can remember. In 1987 My Uncle/Godfather got a 1987 LX 5.0 in Medium Yellow and I can remember constantly washing that car and going for ice cream with it. Eventually I ended up working in a body shop at a Ford dealer, where I still reside today and that is where I found this 2003 Mustang GT Convertible. At the time I had just sold a 1997 SVT Cobra for my wedding. I still had a 1994 Mustang GT and a 2013 5.0 Mustang GT but chopped up the 94 and put a cage in it, then eventually turned it into a full blown drag car. That was my wife’s “beach car” and although she did enjoy the 2013 Coyote car, she liked convertible life.

and was “most consistent”. I remember the furious phone call from my wife when she asked where I was and I told her “at the track” and after a brief pause (which felt like decades) she exclaimed “I’m going to kill you if you break my car”. After that the car has only been used to promote my six year old son’s auto detailing business, with his own line of polishes in the works.

That’s when the 2003 GT Convertible showed up at our dealership as a trade in, and I immediately “borrowed it” and hid it at my house until the paperwork was finalized. My wife begged me to leave this car alone, which I have for the most part, with only a handful of modifications. Eventually this car will have a naturally aspirated Coyote swap and continue to be our Cruise Night and Beach car.

This car has never seen rain or snow and has only been on the dragstrip once in its whole life, when I blew the transmission in the 94 Drag car and wanted to participate in the Mustang Vs Corvette Shootout. The car won three rounds

I FELL IN LOVE IMMEDIATELY...

I have been in love with American Muscle cars since I was a teenager. I got my first Mustang convertible for Christmas when I was 21 years old. I moved from Maine to Philadelphia when I was 24 and chose to bring my 1997 Mustang to the city. Only nine days later, let’s just say that it didn’t work out for me.

After ten years in Philadelphia, I decided to move back to Maine. One day, my father surprised me with another Mustang convertible. This one in bright sunny 2003 Zinc Yellow. I fell in love immediately, but she needed a little love.

As I reflect on my car being 20 years old this year, coincidentally, it’s also been 20 years since I graduated high school. My goal is to help my Mustang age gracefully, keeping everything OEM stock and only modifying small things for modern technology. My ultimate goal is to register her as an Antique Auto in 5 years... and yes that makes me feel old.

STILL TURNS MORE HEADS THAN ANY NEW ONE....

This is my 2003 Mustang Mach 1 in Zinc Yellow and is 1 of 869. I purchased this 2003 Mach 1 in the spring of 2010. I was just looking for a nice Mustang GT driver and after not finding anything remotely close to what I was hoping to get, I stumbled across this For Sale ad on Autotrader in Florida. We made a deal and I shipped the car up to Ontario Canada where she sits looking better than when I bought it.

What attracted me to the Mach 1s in general were many reasons, but the biggest one was the factory Shaker, which was non-existent since the 1970 Mustang. Having the Mach 1 only built for two model years was another huge plus for me. I love the fact that I don’t bump into another one while out in it. I could easily buy something newer but this 20-year-old Mustang still turns more heads than any new one you see flooded in parking lots and at stop lights.

I enjoy the special features the Mach 1 has over a standard GT. I love that Zinc Yellow that was only available for the 2003 model year and having the second lowest productions numbers (869) for the that year also sold me on the car.

much better looking (IMO) Cobra front bumper, AFS 10.5 wheels on the rear, blacked out rear panel and the exhaust. I much prefer the stock look and I feel it is fast enough for wherever I plan on driving it. Thanks for allowing me to show off my girl.

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED MUSTANGS...

This is my Mustang. It was built in 2015 and delivered in 2016. It is a Triple Yellow S550 manual. I have always loved Mustangs since I was very young after seeing them in movies.

Back in 2007, I was lucky enough to purchase my first Mustang, a 1965 Coupe. I loved that car. As soon as I heard the S550 model Mustang was being converted to right hand drive and exported to Australia I had to have one.

I rushed down to me nearest Ford dealer and ordered a Triple Yellow 5 liter manual Mustang in March 2015. My Mustang was delivered to me exactly 1 year later March 2016.

I have upgraded the exhaust to a catback quad tip and my next upgrades are wheels and a supercharger. I really love being part of the greater Mustang community.

I BOUGHT IT BACK IN 1991 AND HAD A VISION...

I am the second owner of this 1983 Mustang GT. I bought it back in 1991 and had a vision of it becoming a Saleen but that didn’t work out because of it being an 83, so I did it my way.

The first thing I did was to have it painted back in 1996. Then I had the upholstery done in 1997. The first car show I entered was an MCA national judged. I got third place. That was an eye opener.

Then the journey began. With every car show, I had one more piece done until she is the way she is today.

It has all 93 body upgrades, a number matching 306 built with dual quads,355 gears in the rearend, and much more. Everything has been upgraded 93 or better.

1999 BEING THE LAST TIME CHROME YELLOW EVER APPEARED.

This is my 1999 Mustang GT Convertible. Ford Paint code BZ, Chrome Yellow. Some interesting facts about this color. Ford used Chrome Yellow on 98 and 99 Mustangs only. 1999 being the last time Chrome Yellow ever appeared. It also was the last year for the original SN95 body style and the first year for the New Edge design. 6,811 total Mustangs were painted Chrome Yellow in 1999 with 1,464 of those being a GT convertible like mine. Ford also used the paint Code BZ on Canary Yellow 1993 to 1995 which is a different shade. The 1999 model was the first year to feature the new PI manifold cylinder heads, adding 35 horsepower to the 32 Valve 4.6 V8. Stock performance numbers of 260 H.P. @ 5,025 RPM with 302 Ft LB of torque. Mine has an automatic transmission with 308 rear end gears. I believe it is all stock with 127,000 miles. My plan is to do some upgrades soon which include a K&N cold air intake, larger throttle body, and computer performances tune. I also want to tint the glass. I just recently purchased this car so it’s still a work in progress.

I enjoy cruising and showing my Mustang with my wife Sheila, who has her own New Edge Convertible. We have many friends and other Pony Car enthusiasts in our car clubs.

THE WIFE AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE YELLOW BLAZE COLOR...

Mustangs have been in my family since my parents’ first car, a Red 1965 Notchback with a HO 289ci, 4-speed, and Posi-track rear end. The second of the line was a Blue 1971 Mustang hardtop, 302ci, and C4 automatic. The next to come along was my oldest son’s Silver 2010 Mustang V6, which was quickly traded in on a Red 2010 Mustang GT premium, 4.6ltr V8, and a 5 speed. Our youngest son followed suit shortly thereafter and bought a Yellow Blaze 2011 GT premium, 5.0 coyote, and 6 speed manual. After a couple of years, and several modifications later on the 2011, our youngest decided to buy a 2016 Triple Yellow Shelby Mustang GT350.

I met Daniel Ramey at a Beltway Mustang show and won my spot with STANG Magazine in their Carlisle Ford Nationals display. Needless to say I wasn’t sure what to expect being that I didn’t know the people attending and was going by myself.

The STANG Mag family welcomed me in from the very start and made me feel like one of their own!

IT IS MY FAVORITE CAR TO GO CRUISE WITH...

This is my 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 “Yellow Fever.” I bought the car 20+ years ago, still with the original 351 Windsor. It is my favorite car to go cruise with on Sunday morning.

If you asked me if I thought I’d be writing an article for STANG Magazine for my car this time last year I would’ve said no. If you asked me if I would be writing it about a different car than the 2005 Roush Mustang I had I would’ve said hell no. I loved that car but acquiring this one reinvigorated my passion for car shows and events!

My passion for Mustangs came from a very early stage of my life, owning a Matchbox ‘69 Mach one, my favorite toy up until my teens. I was constantly dreaming of owning one someday. Now I am a big Ford man owning a few models. I even have a ‘67 T-Bird and ‘23 Mod-T fitted with a Flathead Ford V8.

Mods to the Mustang include shaved rear marker lamps, grille, seat covers, some body work to remove rust, resprayed, custom stripes, sprayed front and rear bumper, original engine, original gearbox, and original differential.
