PAC - Access Control | Controllers

KeyPAC Solo Access Controller and Reader combined KeyPAC Solo is a reader and access controller encapsulated in a single housing, developed to provide security to key areas without the requirement of additional equipment, such as controllers or PC’s.

Each reader includes a relay output designed to control an electronic door lock which is released when a valid card or token is presented, or the RTE button is pressed. Included with the Standard version is an additional label which can be located on the internal side of the door behind the reader, due to the extended read range of the KeyPAC Solo Standard. Upon presentation of a token or card to this label the door is unlocked. This provides a simple and cost effective method of read in/out on a single door. Requiring an external power source only, the KeyPAC Solo is quick and easy to install.

ePac Cylinder Standalone & On-Line Solutions The ePAC Cylinder is a reliable and cost effective access control solution.

Fast and easy to install using the simple ‘push click’ assembly action, the ePAC Cylinder can replace existing key based manual cylinders without having to change the entire lock. With options for both KeyPAC and MIFARE® credentials as well as internal and external versions, the ePAC Cylinder is a quick and easy access solution suitable for multiple applications. The ePAC Cylinder is also integrated into PAC’s own access control software for ease of remote event collecting and credential management. Simply add a wireless module and antenna to any PAC 512 controller and the system can be quickly managed from the controlling software.

Easikey 250 2 Door Standalone Controller EasiKey 250 is a simple to use, standalone door controller. The new, improved design allows access to one or two doors for up to 250 users, or up to 500 when paired.

Complete with the PAC GS3 LF Reader Range, EasiKey 250 is a cost effective solution suitable for small scale applications such as tenanted buildings and small commercial offices, providing easy to manage access control. PAC 212 PAC 212 LF or HF Standalone or PC Based Access Controller The PAC 212 is a true twodoor controller that allows two PAC output readers to be connected per channel.

Designed for sites where programming credentials locally is required, it allows for up to 2,000 users to be administered via the integral reader. Available in both legacy LF and new high security HF, the PAC 212 database can be configured on site for both residential or commercial applications. When configured for residential installations, the PAC 212 database will reflect the application with credentials associated to flats and colours of the token, allowing for simple management of the system. The controller includes many configuration options such as Time Profiles, Access Levels, Case and Reader Tamper, and extra features more often associated with online systems such as programmable Extra Door Time and local Anti-passback, effectively increasing the security.

The LF version of the PAC 212 is capable of reading PAC, KeyPAC and STANLEY credentials and is an ideal alternative or replacement for PAC's legacy EK1000 controller. The PAC 212 offers the features of the EK1000 with the added functionality described above.

PAC 500 Series PAC 500 Access and Alarm Server The PAC 500 Access & Alarm Server provides sophisticated access and alarm management for businesses with a single or multiple locations across the country or around the world.

Embedded Microsoft Windows CE.net and a powerful Intel Xscale processor ensure secure and high speed access to thousands of users, without the need to disable any features or functionality. The PAC 500 coordinates a wide variety of alarms, monitoring devices and elevators. It is capable of hosting and coordinating up to 48 local devices, such as the PAC 512, PAC 520 or PAC 530 controllers which can be used to control access doors, monitor input devices or control output devices. This flexibility allows systems to be designed with the correct mixture of features and functionality to meet the site’s requirements. System downtime is costly, particularly in a highly secure environment. The PAC 500 overcomes this potential risk through the use of its Distributed Intelligent Controllers. PAC 512 and PAC 512IP Two Door Controllers PAC’s 512 and 512IP controllers have been designed to provide a flexible configuration to help secure and monitor customer’s premises, capable of controlling the access through two individual doors with the option of having read in/out on both channels.

Designed with distributed intelligence, all access decisions are made by the PAC 512/512IP controller, sustaining access decisions in the event of communication failure to the administration software. Communication to the controlling software can be via GSM/GPRS or Telephone Modem by using an appropriate device connected via the RS232 port or direct to the PC by RS485, or IP. On-board relays are included for each door channel which can be configured to monitor external devices such as door contacts or tamper circuits plus separate relay for controlling the door lock. The PAC 512/512IP controller can also be configured to provide local anti-passback to increase the security of key doors. The PAC 512/512IP can control up to 23 additional PAC 512’s via the built in RS485 connection, allowing a simple and speedy system expansion.

There are many misconceptions about how RS-485 should be connected and this can lead to incorrect installations. RS-485 cabling must be a daisy chain format using a twisted pair cable. If the daisy chain format is not followed you run the risk of signal reflections that will result in intermittent or permanent loss of communications at one or more node.

To ensure reliable performance of the RS-485 Bus, PAC recommend using CAT 5 unshielded twisted pair cable (UTP) for normal installations or screened twisted pair cable (STP) in harsh environments (RFI/EMI).

Correctly installing a system using RS-485 will remove the cost of multiple call outs and the cost of reconfiguring the network.

The PAC 520 controller provides twenty user configurable inputs ideal for monitoring key areas around your secured building, from external Fire Doors, motion detection alarms or temperature controlled equipment such as freezers, each input can be configured as a normal open (NO) or normally closed (NC) relay with optional supervision via three or four state monitoring. Included with the PAC 520 are two additional output relays which are also user configurable and have many applications such as arming an area on an input changing state or activating an external sounder. The PAC 530 controller provides 12 configurable outputs ideal for controlling external devices around your premises. With its flexible configuration options, the PAC 530 can be used for many applications including advanced Elevator Control, providing a method of restricting access to key floors based upon the person’s permission. Each output can be configured to be latched, momentary, toggled or pulsed, the PAC 530 also has two additional input relays which are also user configurable and have many applications such as monitoring Fire Doors to connecting Motion Detection Sensors.

Smart (HF) ID Devices PAC One Prox Smart (OpsTM) PAC’s new smart token’s and card’s have been produced to provide a reliable and secure solution to the risk of credential cloning associated with many Low Frequency ID’s.

The smart token combines our market leading PAC token housing with industry standard MIFARE® (Ops LiteTM) and MIFARE DESFire® EV1 (OpsTM) smart technology to produce a robust token for use in many applications. Our range of smart cards are also available in MIFARE® (Ops LiteTM) and MIFARE DESFire® EV1 (OpsTM) versions and are fully ISO compliant allowing for direct printing. Ops ID’s produce a unique PAC security protocol which when used in conjunction with PAC’s range of GS3 HF and MT readers provide an AES-128Bit certified read, providing the highest level of security and almost removing the risk of the credential being cloned. EasiNet Residential Access Control Software Designed specifically for the residential housing sector, EasiNet Residential software is ideal for sites where housing managers and staff have the constant worry of controlling tenants’ access to low rise or high rise blocks of flats, or specific areas.

Based upon the same software building blocks as PAC SecureNet, EasiNet Residential can be easily configured to control access to the residents buildings. With intuitive wizards designed to allow quick amendments to the systems and now with a browser interface, residents and staff can be quickly added or their records amended. Available in two versions and offering easy upgrade methods, EasiNet Residential can be expanded as and when required. With multiple communication methods, including GPRS, remote sites can be controlled and monitored to provide vital information on token usage, and used to produce key reports. Training Courses To complement the product training, PAC offer comprehensive support services for the PAC product range. This is for system upgrades, remote or onsite services for commissioning and troubleshooting. These services are available to our installers and dealers and offer a value added benefit to your customer base . 15015 - Installation & commissioning engineer courses These courses are for installation and commissioning engineers. They have been designed around a flexible training plan that takes into account the range of PAC hardware and software. Common learning objectives are included in the two-day Foundation Principles course. For each of these Modules, trainees will have access to their own PC with door controllers connected. Trainees will install PAC software onto a PC, and will be introduced to all of the primary software functions applicable to the modules they are undertaking.

Product training plays an important part in obtaining the most from your PAC access control system and is invaluable in getting to know the products and in maintaining the system on a day to day basis.

14905 - Commissioning visit (1 Day) These services are provided to work hand-in-hand onsite with the preferred onsite dealer and installer, to commission an access control system. When commissioning a system, the engineer will carry out a check of a system with a maximum of twenty ID cards or tokens and programme any required system functionality in line with features described in the booking form.

14995 - Site Visit If all remote services have been exhausted, these services are available to work closely onsite with the preferred on site dealer/installer or fully product trained personnel. This is for onsite system troubleshooting and fault finding.

Adjustable Closing Speed* - The speed of movement at which the door closes over the closing arc. Adjustable Latching Speed** - The speed of movement of the door over the last few degrees of closing (15˚-0˚) to ensure the latch is secured firmly into the strike plate. Backcheck*** - This function slows the door during its opening cycle when it is opened with excessive force thus preventing the door from damaging adjacent walls. The Newbury bunker was built for the US Forces on the Greenham Common Air Base as a command and control centre protecting people and technology from nuclear attack. The construction and security standards are what you might expect of such a purpose built fortress. It has concrete reinforced walls, steel doors and tempest shielding. Layered on top of this physical inaccessibility is a 24-hour watch, CCTV and a series of sophisticated access controls.

The Kent bunker, similarly to the Newbury site, was built by the MOD as a command and control centre and adheres to the highest construction and security standards of such a purpose built fortress. Patrolled and monitored 24/7/365 by our specialist on-site security teams, located 30 metres beneath a perimeter fenced site with reinforced concrete walls, steel doors weighing several tons and EMP, and tempest shielding.

ISO 27001 and Secure Data Centres in the UK ISO 27001 Accreditation is an internationally recognised standard which encompasses both physical and logical aspects of information security. The standard is highly applicable to providers of IT oriented services, such as The Bunker, and ensures appropriate protection of the information security assets that are important to any organisation.

Systems Design Support Many of our customers need assistance with putting together a system design or meeting a client specification. Our team are fully trained in system design and producing specifications and drawings that help architects, systems specifiers, design consultants and installers.

Tailor Made Courses Any of the listed Installer Courses may be tailored to suit the needs of an individual installation company. However, to be viable, any course requires a minimum of two attendees. The PAC Technical Support team are highly skilled in answering any questions you have in relation to our products. We have specialist skills in communication and IT related areas and are able to provide supporting documentation.

These courses are aimed at those who administer PAC access control systems. Because each end user employs different hardware/software features, these courses are bespoke and are tailored to the needs of a particular user. No previous knowledge of PAC product is necessary, although attendees are expected to have a fundamental understanding of PC technology and Microsoft® Windows operating systems.

Remote Dial-In Support

PAC offer a remote dial-in service which gives you direct access to skilled engineers and enables us to see your system software in a real-time environment. The remote control software and hardware requirements will need to be discussed prior to attending site and involvement from end user IT personnel may be required.

To underpin our technical support and training we have an extensive range of e-learning videos and step-by-step guides that have been designed to provide on the job tuition and instruction for specific product features and operations. These are available at www.pacgdx/support/training

Technical Support

On-Site Support Services Designed with the installer in mind, PAC provide on-site services including commissioning and system upgrades. The Technical Support team are trained to the highest standard on PAC hardware, software, PC operating systems and IT networks.
