Inspired by the architectural language of Japanese traditional building, we consistently applied the same style to interior design, millwork design and furnture selection.

THE GATE (RECEPTION & PANTRY ISLAND)
As this building is located next to Hanzomon, a famous historic gate, we designed the entrance of main lounge to face a gate-shaped millwork that integrates both reception desk and pantry island. The different colors and materials give the visitor a spacial impact with semi-symmetric form but completely different characters on bother sides.
Horigotatsu in this building is located along the window with low drop ceiling, in order to create intimate and cozy space. It can also by easily rec ognized from the street, functioning as branding moment for the building. Traditional tatami and oyaishi materials are used to emphasized the traditional vibe.
