Personal History

We have a combined family of 6 children and 17 grandchildren. We have lived and worked in the Chicago area our entire lives. John grew up in Villa Park and started in Real Estate out of college. Pat has also worked at AT&T as Data Systems Operator for 8.5 years.

Now we are pleased to introduce 2 new additions to our team, Jennifer Boye and Tara Romay.

Jennifer Boye is a former Military Veteran with quite a broad background. As an Air Force Veteran, she was a Crew Chief on the EC-130 and KC-135 and was also the fitness manager for her unit. After 10 years in the military, she used her passion for fitness and became a personal trained and CrossFit coach. Her love of motorcycles brought her to Harley Davidson where she excelled as the Service Manager. She also has a huge heart for animals; her dogs are rescues.

Tara Romay has a Digital Marketing and Communications Degree from Elmhurst University. She brings expertise in digital marketing, cultivated through college studies and real-world experience, which equips her with the tools to effectively showcase properties and connect with buyers and sellers in today’s digital landscape. From eye catching listings to target social media campaigns, she leverages cutting-edge strategies to maximize exposure and generate results for clients.

Before making an o er, smart buyers apply to at least three lending sources to determine how much they can a ord to spend and the best interest rate.

SALES AGREEMENT EXECUTED

OFFER PRESENTED

Buyer’s Realtor presents buyer’s o er to seller’s Realtor, who conveys it to the seller.

GOOD FAITH DEPOSIT

Once buyer and seller agree on terms, buyer submits a good faith deposit to cement the deal. Deposit is held in escrow to be applied toward the down payment.

LOAN APPLICATION PROCESSED

Lender conducts an extensive review of buyer’s credit report, employment, source of down payment, property appraisal, etc.

CLOSING DOCUMENTS ISSUED

Lender provides loan estimate and closing disclosure detailing all terms and costs.

FINAL WALK-THROUGH

1-2 days before closing, buyer confirms that the home is in the same condition as when purchase o er signed and all elements that are to be conveyed are still in place.

SELLER’S DISCLOSURE

Seller discloses issues that may materially a ect the value of the property and which are not readily evident.

PURCHASE NEGOTIATION

Working through their Realtors, seller and buyer negotiate the sales price, sales terms and any contingencies buyer may request.

TITLE SEARCH

Concurrent with the loan process, closing agent confirms seller has a clear right to sell the property and establishes facts, such as whether there are restrictive covenants on the use of the property.

Once financing is complete and other hurdles are removed, contingencies may drop o .
