Richardson and Wrench Noosa sales agent Cam Goode said the home was on the market for just six weeks before being snapped up by the Brisbane-based family. “It’s great to see such a beautiful property go to such a wonderful buyer,” he said. “I’m sure the home is in safe hands and with owners who will love the home as much as the vendors do.” Cam said the new owners of the home were long-time holiday makers in Noosa and had always enjoyed a holiday home in Marcus Beach. Anne’s place in the sun for sale ANNE Marshall has a career in publishing that spans more than 40 years. She has worked for major publications including Cleo and New Idea, has written 22 cook books and edited a further 40. Add to that impressive resume, six years as the owner of a private cookery school in Sydney, a swag of TV commercials and five test kitchens built and operated under Anne’s watchful eye.

Anne said the atrium style of the home, with unique windows set inside the home for maximum light and the large window in the living room, drew her to the apartment. “I had seen (the apartment) when I was on holiday and just fell in love with it,” she said.

My friends will say ‘oh, it’s a bit small’, but I’ve only been cooking for one or two since retirement and the odd family get-together or celebration,” she said. “I would say, because I’m trained, I’m very organised. When you’re cooking in a TV studio, you’re lucky if you get a trestle table and a tap. I used to have a cooler box for my refrigerator and two buckets for my sink when I was doing TV commercials. It’s very primitive in some studios. When you have to work like that, you can work anywhere.” Anne said the kitchen had worked hard for her, helping create delicious food to serve to dignitaries at art gallery openings, baking enviable Christmas treats for friends and family, as well as catering for Slow Food Noosa events. With so much to love about this home, it’s a wonder Anne is selling the home that she loves so dearly with its large windows and flood of natural light. But she said it was a “savvy time” to move on and looks forward to her new home at the Noosa Domain Retirement Village.
