Unique rotating home A TEHRAN design company has created a unique rotating home that takes year-round comfort to a whole new level.

The home office and breakfast rooms, turning rooms on the first and third floors, can change the formality of their appearance according to the owner’s preference, offering multiple seasonal or lighting scenarios.

The home is built over seven levels with two basement floors for fitness and wellness, a ground floor designated for parking and housekeeping rooms, two middle floors with living and entertaining spaces and the two upper-levels featuring the sleeping quarters and retreats for the family. But what sets this home apart from other grand homes are the three unique rotating boxes that are designed to provide year-round comfort for the occupants. The design is a reference to traditional Iranian homes, offering both a Zemestan-Neshin (winter living room) and a TaabestanNeshin (summer living room). The boxes open in summer to offer wide, airy terraces and then close in winter to create cosy living spaces. But it’s not all seasonal this home offers absolute flexibility, adapting to the functional needs of the occupants. For example, depending on whether there is a guest or not, the

Hi Tina, Interesting question, firstly would you normally ask everyone who enters your house to remove their shoes? Unless it is wet and muddy then to be honest your carpets could possibly be better off if shoes are left on. Feet have natural oils and this residue can be left on the carpet which then attracts dust and dirt, so in effect this is worse than shoes! The best solution to this is to provide plastic shoe covers, also remember that for some people removing shoes can be a physical issue and they may need to sit down to do this! So is it really necessary? Karen, we have an approved dog at our rental home, he is friendly and a good watchdog. We have a periodic inspection coming up soon and the property manager insist that either we are home or the dog is confined for the inspection... he is not aggressive why do we have to do this?
