ON OFFER is a large comfortable family home located in the heart of Noosa, close to transport, dining, shopping and the famous Hastings Street. BOASTING five bedrooms, this spacious floorplan includes private retreats for family members as well as places to gather and spend time together. The master suite is located on the entire upper level of the residence and is the perfect retreat for parents looking to relax and unwind after a day in the sun. Large enough to include a day bed for reading and resting, the master suite also features a walk-in dressing room, private ensuite and access to a private balcony with views over the pool and river. Four more bedrooms are located downstairs in a private wing, each features built-in wardrobes and are serviced by a main bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is the heart of the home and is cleverly positioned to serve both the poolside terrace and the dining area and sits between the formal and casual living spaces. A generous family and dining room overlooks the pool and features large sliding glass doors that open out to the

waterside and poolside decks, bringing the outside in. The large outdoor deck could easily accommodate a dining suite and barbecue, plus sun lounges for making the most of local weather - the ideal space for entertaining friends on a warm summer’s night. The new owners will also be able to take their pick of relaxing beside the sparkling pool or wandering down to the sun-soaked beach or private jetty to indulge in a spot of fishing. High ceilings, voids throughout the home and glass folding or sliding doors means there is ample natural light and ventilation throughout the residence, creating year round comfort. This property also features air-conditioning, ceiling fans throughout, a double lock-up garage and a bar area in the formal dining space. All this is located just moments from Hastings Street, the business hub of The Junction and only a short drive to Gympie Terrace.

Property Management by Karen Seskis

What makes a good property management office?

People!!! Thank you and Merry Christmas to all our clients who I have personally worked for over the last 8 years of property management here in Noosa.

Privacy and elegance IF PRIVACY and elegance are on your list of property ‘must-haves’ then look no further. This opulent Queenslander is the epitome of executive living while still making the most of Lake Macdonald’s beautiful surroundings. Set over two levels, this eight-bedroom treasure will leave you wanting for nothing with its five-acre gardens and luxurious guest wing. It's nestled just five minutes from Cooroy and 15 minutes from Noosa - this is where seclusion meets convenience on the Sunshine Coast. Boasting rich timber floors and lofted ceilings throughout, this property leads its occupants outwards to the expansive wraparound decks and outdoor dining luxuries. The versatile layout allows for numerous entertaining and dining options along with space to work, play and study.

Complete with eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, both residents and guests’ privacy and desires are catered for to the utmost detail. The executive kitchen offers traditional styling along with all the modern luxuries and ample storage, while taking in views of the grounds framed by beautiful French doors and natural light. Warm by the fireplace in winter or relax in the home’s library while the children stay entertained in the games area. Your guests can relax in their very own wing with three luxurious bedrooms, a sitting room and separate retreat all to themselves. This perfectly presented property includes a resort-sized pool suited to both exercise and relaxation. Choose to entertain guests or simply sit back with a cocktail under the gazebo by the

pool’s edge. The gated gravel drive crosses the Japanese-style bridge and leads to the fivecar garage with attached studio or workshop and private north facing gardens. The property’s perfectly manicured surrounds are rich in native wildlife and lead to Lake Macdonald’s edge, perfect for wishing away lazy afternoons.

A big thank you to our tenants who have also been fantastic and I can truly say some of you have indeed “looked after the property as if it were your own”. Merry Christmas. To our wonderful handymen who go out of their way to get work orders completed on time and do a great

Living at ease inside and out bydesign WITH DI HENSHALL

WHAT could be better than having your own personal retreat in your backyard? I’ve talked before about making your back garden, or courtyard or balcony, an extension of the living space - it is after all where we would like to be most of the year round. A couple of plastic chairs and a wonky table aren’t going to quite fit the bill for relaxing. Garden furnishings should be regarded as just as important as the furniture you choose for the indoor living spaces. We are lucky enough to live in a country that allows us to spend a great deal of time outside, so we should really recognise the impact good quality outdoor furniture has to our well-being and lifestyle. If you have a pool, it should feel like an oasis, where you can indulge by having a swim or just a float around, thinking about nothing. A well-designed pool area can be the striking focal point in any back garden and the envy of everyone who visits.

Make the most of your outdoor space so you can rest, relax and enjoy views like this. The pool area can be a perfect place to entertain in the evening - water reflects light, so placing votive candles or lanterns close to the water will enhance the fairyland-like ambience. Some of the candles could be insect repellent ones, so you don’t have to run for cover. Low voltage light kits are inexpensive and very easy to fit - place them up against tree trunks and in among plants to add to the effect. One challenge is pool fencing - by law we must make sure that the pool area is safe, but it can be difficult to determine where to put the fencing and what it does

to the overall look. Glass is the most expensive fencing, but you could consider using glass fencing only in the more prominent areas and revert back to less expensive fencing elsewhere. Often, plants end up taking over and covering some pool fencing, so going for all glass is sometimes not necessary in the long run. The most successful outdoor areas are ones that flow seamlessly
