TIMBERTOP estate residents recently donated gifts for underprivileged children as part of the ’Share your Christmas’ initiative. Organised by the Timbertop Residents Group, the appeal received a generous response from locals, with piles of presents accumulating under the tree, which have now been donated to The 4Cs Crisis Relief Centre and Windermere Child and Family Services. Gifts of all shapes and sizes were generously provided by residents, including an Xbox game console. The 4Cs Crisis Relief Centre and Windermere Child and Family Services are both Pakenham-based organisations working locally to improve the physical, financial and emotional wellbeing of disadvantaged children and families. For over 150 years Windermere has been helping people live life to their full potential. They provide counselling, housing support, disability services, childcare and more. The 4Cs assists over 200 families per day, providing services such as emergency finance, food relief, accommodation, clothing, counselling and education. Both organisations were grateful for Timbertop’s contribution. Maree De George of Windermere thanked the residents for “a wonderful contribution, which will bring some Christmas joy to children and families in our community that would otherwise miss out“.
