Next heir to the throne EVERY king can have his castle as the Sunshine Coast icon Sunshine Castle Bli Bli lowers its drawbridge and welcomes potential buyers. The Sunshine Coast tourist

bought the castle and proceeded to renovate the building as well as build a display room for a private doll collection which was opened to the public in 1986. At the same time, the tower block was opened to the public which allows for panoramic views of the Sunshine Coast from the top of the seven-storey structure.

After three long years of ruling, the crown was passed down through the family to Birte Benecke-Uhrig and Stephen Uhrig and their little Prince Tobi when the young family moved from Germany to Australia in 2006.

Since its humble beginnings, the castle has played host to many events including the inaugural Medieval Feasting Dinner Show in 2007 and the Underground Opera Company’s Opera in the Castle which boasted three sold out shows in 2010.
