estate when renovating houses with her husband in Darwin. Having renovated and sold multiple homes Heidi began to discover her passion for turning ordinary dwellings into something more and was excited to share the potential of each home with prospective buyers. Heidi soon relocated to the Noosa Shire and settled in Eumundi with her husband and two children and began working for a large real estate business where Heidi focused on the Noosa Hinterland and its myriad of unique and incredible homes. After spending many years selling homes, Heidi took a short break from sales to focus on her art. Heidi is an established ceramic artist and sold her work at the Eumundi markets. However, Heidi was soon to return to her first love, real estate, after her passion for sales reignited with the sale of her Eumundi home.

Heidi said both her love of art and her love of real estate go hand-in-hand and is looking forward to discovering the many possibilities within the Noosa Shire.

BASE REALTORS Ron Davey The sales just keep coming for Ron after almost 30 years of record breaking sales, selling some of the finest properties in Noosa and the Sunshine Coast.

If you want a professional agent that is experienced, easy to deal with and absolutely no fuss, then Ron has to be your choice every time.

“It’s great to have Heidi on board because she has a great work ethic and is great with people, she really listens to their needs,” David said.

They’re top guys in real estate BELLE Property Noosa has two new directors ready to offer you the quality and professionalism you’ve come to expect from the well-known boutique real estate provider. John Stamp and Ben Radcliff have taken over the hot seat as of this month and are looking forward to showing vendors that Belle Property Noosa won’t compromise on quality or service no matter the size of the property. John and Ben pride themselves on the high standards to which every detail of your property is held from advertising to presentation and will be with you from start to settlement and beyond. “We are very accessible, when you deal with us you are dealing with the directors,” John said. “We have a vibrant and diverse team with a wealth of knowledge and experience who all want to provide the best possible service.” Situated in Noosaville, Belle Property Noosa has a funky and welcoming vibe which immediately sets you at ease as you discuss your personal and unique property needs with the experienced staff. John and Ben, with almost 30 years of industry experience between them, pride

Recognise the value of a tradie A FEW days off over the holidays can seem like the perfect time to begin those DIY projects you have been putting off all year.

Belle Property Noosa directors Ben Radcliff and John Stamp. themselves on achieving the lowest possible days on market for your property which they attribute to their high standards and even higher level of quality when presenting your home for sale. Combining their intimate knowledge of the region with Belle Property’s awardwinning brand and quality marketing, ensures John , Ben and their team are well-equipped to make any home beautiful and highly desirable to both the local and holiday market. To contact Belle Property Noosa and begin your journey towards a new home contact John or Ben on 5415 0700 or drop into the office at 4/59 Mary Street, Noosaville.

But as confident as you may be, it is important to know your limits and recognise the right time to hire a professional. With the success of renovation television shows, DIY has become increasingly popular and statistics show there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight to home renovations. According to Mater Builders Queensland, renovations have been trending up with an increase of more than 5000 during the 2014/15 financial year, with the figure topping 57,000. Master Builders executive director Grant Galvin said when deciding whether to do a job yourself or call in the experts, determining the value of the work is the first place to start. “If the value of the work exceeds $3300 then it must be carried out by a licensed contractor,” Mr Galvin said. “This is why it is so important to follow

the correct processes for approvals, inspections and general building requirements if you are completing the work yourself. “Even though DIY might save you money on the renovation, any bad workmanship could negatively affect the resale price as savvy buyers will ask to see inspection records.” Once the legal side of all DIY work has been considered, it is time to address any potential safety risks involved. As a rule, Master Builders advises home owners to never do their own electrical or plumbing work as it is generally against the law to do so. The same advice applies to any asbestos removal required. According to Master Builders Queensland, when renovating over a short period of time it can be tempting to cut corners in order to get the job done. This presents a myriad of potential problems which can often cost more time and money in the long-run than it would to hire a qualified tradesperson from the beginning.
