ONE DOOR CLOSES, ANOTHER OPENS ... OVER the past nine months, we have been highlighting major events within the history of Frank Facey Real Estate. We have seen how one man’s quest to establish a successful real estate business in Dandenong, proved to be an inspirational decision, and now, 100 years later, that business incorporates: First National Neilson Partners, Facey IndustrialCommercial, Hall and Partners First National and Parklea. During the course of this pioneering company’s expansion, there were significant changes and new directions taken. The business grew to embrace three generations of Facey’s and a host of dedicated staff; many of whom have earned esteemed reputations within the company and within the community. The South Eastern Corridor became dotted with Frank Facey First National offices; Narre Warren, Berwick, Endeavour Hills, Mulgrave, Glen Waverly and Pakenham. The ‘Facey Industrial-Commercial’ business thrived as a specialised entity and ‘Parklea’ moved ahead in leaps and bounds. All throughout the Shires of Casey and Cardinia enormous change was transforming the landscape as new developments were undertaken to accommodate the ever-increasing population. To keep abreast of the demand and in acknowledgement of the changing profile of the area, Frank Facey First National Real Estate underwent significant restructuring to ensure that all future requirements would be met by each office.

In 2005 First National Glen Waverly was sold and the six remaining offices were split into two separate groups. Frank Facey Pty Ltd was then trading as ‘First National Frank Facey’ with directors Andrew Facey (third generation Facey), Ross Neilson (managing director based at Narre Warren), Peter Watson (partner) running Berwick office, Todd McKenna (partner) running the Pakenham Office and Allison Holzer managing the rental departments in all three offices.

Hall and Partners First National was then reorganised, with Michael Hall as managing director, his son Adrian Hall running Mulgrave office and business partner Gary Andrews running Endeavour Hills office. Today, Michael and his two sons Adrian and Leigh with partner Tim Retallack successfully run this group. In 2011 Andrew Facey reserved the name ‘Frank Facey’ for his development company and the company’s trading

name became ‘First National Real Estate Neilson Partners’, covering Berwick, Narre Warren and Pakenham. At this time, Allison Holzer became the fifth partner in the business and Andrew Facey moved his company, ‘Parklea’ to its present location in Officer.
