RECORD BREAKING WINTER FOOD DRIVE IN its third year of operation the Parklea Winter Food Drive is proud to report that the generosity of the local community has helped break last year’s record of 330 kilograms of donations, with 2018 collecting over 500kg of non-perishable food. This year the Parklea Winter Food Drive extended its reach by adding new collection points in more locations throughout Cardinia Shire, where local residents were able to support their neighbourhood throughout winter. "The huge increase in donations is thanks in part to the local businesses who put their hands up and volunteered to be a collection point for the food drive,” said Parklea sales and marketing manager Jarod Mills. “We are extremely grateful that they supported this program, an initiative that Parklea is so proud to deliver." Food donations will be distributed via The 4Cs, a Pakenham-based charity that supports local families and individuals with food, shelter, counselling, training and financial relief. Parklea thanked Club Officer, Montessori Beginnings Child Care at Timbertop Estate, Cardinia Life (Aligned Leisure), Arena Cafe at Arena Shopping Centre, and Timbertop Sales Suite, for supporting the initiative and opening up their businesses to be a collection point. The Winter Food Drive is one of Parklea's many initiatives to help improve the quality of life of those living in and around the community.
