The Rotary Club of Emerald and District fundraising event started in 2002 and has since raised more than $400,000 to support local children s causes. This year s run will raise funds for the Monash Children s Hospital Cancer Centre. The fun will kick off at 9.30am and run through to 1.30pm on Thursday 25 November. Children aged three to 12 years can race against Thomas the Tank Engine. There ll be show bags and certificates for all runners, train rides with Thomas the Tank Engine, clowns, circus skills, rides, farm animals, live music, face painting, Lizzy s Lizards and more. Barry Plant Emerald will have balloons and face painting for a gold coin donation in its marquee at the event. Fun run entry is $20 per child, including a certificate and run number.
