MOVEMBER is here and so is team MO’Brien. Back for their third year participating in Movember, O’Brien’s Real Estate is working to shed light on a range of men’s health issues. O’Brien General Manager (corporate office) Jason Mudford explained that the team’s engagement with the mo-growing fundraiser stems from the belief that there are far too many men dying too young. This year, team MO’Brien is taking action by raising funds for mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. “We’ve done Movember for the last three years and last year we rose over $5, 000,” Jason said. “It’s a great initiative. We have over 100 donation tins and we like to think we’ll have at least 50 staff members growing a mo. Others are choosing to support the cause in different ways.”

Team MOBrien are aiming to double last year’s total by raising $10,000 and are asking people to get behind the team by either ‘growing, donating or supporting.’ “We ask that anyone (not only men) capable of growing a moustache (or not capable as some may be) go without the shaver for the entire month of November,” Office Manager and Auctioneer (Mentone office) and organiser of the MOBrien’s Greg Brydon said. “Throughout the month, the MO-Bros will be sporting some seriously bad facial hair. We ask that you get behind the cause and support in any way you can.” To donate, or to just show support, head to Team MO’Brien’s ‘My Cause’ page where supporters can contribute to the team’s total.
