Caedlin saw a sign advertising the gift drive at Cardinia Life in Officer and didn’t hesitate suggesting to her mum, Alison, that she donate some of her presents so they could be regifted this Christmas. “I donated my gifts because I thought is wasn’t fair that lots of homeless people don’t get presents,“ Caedlin explained. “It makes me feel good.“ And her message for those children who will benefit from her generosity? “I hope you like the present and I hope you play with it,“ she said, with a huge smile. Parklea Sales and Marketing Manager Jarod Mills said this year donations would be shared between Windermere and the taskforce of community organisations putting together hampers in the wake of the closure of the 4C’s Foodbank.
