Cannibal Creek Chardonnay 2010 claimed a gold medal and was declared Best Open Class Chardonnay, Best White Wine of the Show and Best Wine of the Show. Cannibal Creek Pinot Noir 2012 and 2013 also received gold medals and three further medals were awarded for the Chardonnay 2009, Pinot Noir 2010 and Cabernet Merlot 2013.

Head judge of the show and member of the prestigious Grand Jury Européen and legendary Le Figaro wine writer Bernard Burtschy was so impressed by Cannibal Creek that he took time out of his brief trip to visit the vineyard. “To make wines of this quality you must have good taste!“ he declared. Other awards include the Casey Cardinia Business Award in 2017 in the Hospitality category. Wine writer James Halliday gave the 2016 Cannibal Creek Reserve Pinot Noir 95 out of100, while Jeremy Oliver has also highly

rated their wines saying that the Cannibal Creek Reserve Sauvignon Blan 2017 was ‘... one of the few Australian... that can rival the best from Marlborough’. The winery is fully equipped to process 40 plus tonne or grapes. The modern, quality equipment includes air bag press, crusher and destemmer, elevator, sorting table and transfer pump and must pump and tank storage for about 30,000 litres, many barrels and approximately 60000 bottles of wine stock at any given time. There is a packing shed with coolroom, a workshop, machinery shed and stockyards.

The vineyard comes with all vineyard equipment and tractors. The property has panoramic views of Mt Cannibal and is set on granite soils unique to the area an There are approximately 7000 vines of various Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon , Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay varieties. A 6.5 megalitre dam provides ample irrigation water through a drip system. Water can also be found in other dams, Cannibal Creek , water tanks and mains water. Set on 29 Hectares (69 acres) there is plenty of room for growth. ●
