bidders going head-to-head until the hammer fell at $1.8m to Brisbane buyers. Not surprisingly, apartment 2 in Tenalga, a complex of four built in the ’60s with the premier address of 21 Allambi Rise, Little Cove, attracted much interest and six super-keen registered bidders, who battled it out until the gavel fell at $2.685m. “After 50 years of ownership and several generations enjoying Little Cove, our thrilled sellers have now passed the keys onto an over-the-moon excited buyer,” listers Luke Chen and Lauren Chen said, making it three out of three wins in two days. “The buyer and his wife were so eager to secure it, she went to sit on Little Cove Beach to calm her nerves, instead of being at the auction. “After attaching the sold sticker, the buyer walked down the hill with a bottle of champagne to surprise his wife and toast to their new slice of paradise.” WATERFRONT ATTRACTION The Nic Hunter-listed apartment 2 at 17 Laburnum Cres, Noosaville, is a whisper quiet, completely contemporised, luxe waterfront townhome with a jetty, in a boutique enclave. A Roark-Walsh and Tiffany Wilson-listed hidden gem, minutes to the beach at 27 Whale Dve, Sunshine Beach, was passed in $2.2m and negotiations continue post auction. A huge allotment with enormous potential and five bedrooms, 450m to the sand at the Tracy Russell-listed 4 Chestnut Court, Marcus Beach is now listed for sale at $1.89m. It was the sunniest of days, and the Coral Sea was sparkling for the Michael McComas-listed private auction of the immaculately presented 35 Seaview Tce, Sunshine Beach. Strong bidding between two registered bidders continued during the auction until it was passed in. Negotiations continue with a sale circa $7m expected to be announced soon. ACROSS THE NULLARBOR If there’s one thing the past two years have taught us is that business can be conducted from anywhere, at anytime. That was the case with two auctions involving Hinternoosa agents this week. I feel the market will still be in high demand because of the district and people just want to live and enjoy what we have. In addition, there is a limited amount of homes and people want what they can’t have so this will also add to healthy demand. A flattening on prices is likely. If there is a postelection interest rate adjustment, this may reduce some peoples spend, which may slow down the huge growth seen last year. • What is your feeling about it moving forward? It will still be a high demand area because of the variety from sea change to tree change and the limited stock. • Your point of difference & what you offer. I fly the local flag with local knowledge and love of the district. By being myself, going that extra mile to get the job done and having two ears and one mouth to “listen” to what people really need and want.
