Pool dung disgust The Pakenham Outdoor Pool has sparked anger from residents, who are questioning the Cardinia Shire Council’s maintenance of the pool. Residents have complained both the 50m pool and children’s pool have been contami-
nated by animal faeces. The situation has been labelled “a bloody disgrace” and “devastating” by residents. The central problem revolves around a group of ducks who regularly reside by the outdoor pool. Residents claim the ducks’ faeces are not being cleaned enough to maintain
cleanliness of the pool. They say the council is not doing anything to stop the ducks from getting in. The outdoor pool is a regular site for local recreation and school swim competitions, wiht the water quality a point of concern for residents regarding the health of local pool-goers.
