Armstrong’s sales success NINE buyers have camped out to buy the first blocks released at Villawood Properties’ Armstrong development. Villawood said the group spent four days camping to be first in line for the new Armstrong Creek estate last weekend. Villawood Properties’ executive director Rory Costelloe says he was extremely pleased with the first weekend of sales. “Considering the tough economic climate we’re in, it’s unbelievable that we had buyers camping on site since Tuesday last week to secure their preferred lots. “This is the first property camp-out we’ve seen since the global financial crisis. Villawood had sold 23 Armstrong lots by the start of the week. Release B is now on the market. “On our Armstrong database we now have over 1000 people
who have registered their interest in the project,” Mr Costelloe says. “Across the weekend we had a staggering amount of new registrations in the development, with many keen to purchase very soon.” “In a very exciting moment for the project, newly elected Mayor of Geelong Keith Fagg paid a visit on Saturday morning and left as one of our brand new residents.” Mr Costelloe says the estate’s Club Armstrong facility is getting buyers talking. “For an annual fee of only $900 plus GST, Armstrong residents will have exclusive access to this state-of-the-art, architecturally designed club – it’s cheaper than the cost of a gym membership and maintaining your own backyard pool. The club will feature pools, tennis courts, a gym, a cafe, a function room and meeting spaces.
Mr Costelloe says Armstrong will also have various shops and more than 24 hectares of open spaces and parks with free-wifi. “Armstrong residents will also have fibre-to-the-home connection through Opticomm. This is an absolute bonus for buyers because NBN has not yet been delivered to Geelong. “Armstrong Mt Duneed will be the new upgrade suburb of Geelong.” Armstrong will host a family fun day on Saturday. Mr Costelloe says the free event will feature children’s activities, a free barbecue, an ice cream van and a coffee cart. “Santa will be joining us for a very special visit. He will arrive on a CFA fire truck at 1.30pm, so be sure to be at Armstrong for this very exciting moment.” The family fun day is from 1pm to 4pm.
