Health – Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) & Blood Donation As a long-term supporter of KDSF, LBS has been devoting time, money and effort for the last 10 consecutive years since 2007 and still continue to do so in 2017. LBS is the Premier Sponsor, contributing RM687,000
in
total.

KDSF-National Centre (NC) to help more children with Down Syndrome in the community. LBS believes that the
Early
Intervention
Programme
provided
in
KDSF-NC, helps children with Down Syndrome to achieve their potential that will be useful in their integration with day-to-day living.
Health – Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation (KDSF) & Blood Donation 2017 also marks yet another year of LBS collaborating with the government, Selangor Petaling Business & Industry Association, Persatuan Hokkien Sungai Way Selangor and Persatuan Keturunan Lim Daerah Petaling to
organize
blood
donation
campaign.
LBS
is
encouraging the community to save lives by donating blood. The blood was sent to the national blood bank/local hospital. LBS had participated in Program Semarak Kemerdekaan @ SKVE Toll Post on 24th August 2017 and Kempen Derma Darah @ SJK (C) Sungai Way on 8th September 2017.
Educational – Star Step-Up Programme The Star's NiE (Newspaper-in-Education), Step Up, is a 24-page bilingual education pullout for Chinese primary school pupils from Year Four to Six. The Step-Up Programme consists of 2 pullouts for primary and secondary students, aiming to make learning English fun which is in line with Education Ministry syllabus. LBS had been a loyal sponsor of this programme since 2012 and had contributed a total of RM60,000 to the programme as we believe that children are the pillars to our country’s future; hence it is essential to strengthen their academic foundation in school.
Culture – Mega Star Hua Hee Karaoke (formerly known as ASTRO International HUA HEE KARAOKE) 2017 marks the 4th year of LBS being the premier sponsor of Astro Hua Hee Karaoke to support the annual Hokkien singing competition. The support of this singing competition is an LBS effort to support and preserve the Chinese culture with the hopes of handing this down to the upcoming generation. The competition gathers singers from around Asia to compete and win cash prize worth of RM80,000 of which LBS has been the main sponsor. LBS believes in supporting the Chinese community in different aspect, and culture preservation is part of it. This competition has attracted participant as young as 13 years old to compete at the final stage.
Customer Service Initiatives
Always Listening As LBS believes that two-way communication is essential to a successful management and in being a responsible developer, LBS constantly listens to its customers; appreciating their input and looking forward to growing with our customers. This listening also is extended to feedback from real estate agents, sales agents and from social media tracking. Every feedback is monitored to ensure that as a company, steps are taken toward greater progress.
Customer Service Management System LBS has implemented feedback avenues for our purchasers to ensure that we provide the best service to them. Providing their feedback from before and after sales via traditional mediums like phone, mail, email or even social media platforms are the standard procedure in LBS customer service.
Going the Extra Mile – Get Together However, LBS also believes in going the extra mile. An example would be the organising of the annual Chinese New Year gathering in our Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP) township. The objectives are not only to receive the residents’ feedback but also aim to bond with them. Other initiatives that LBS did to build rapport with BSP residents are through organizing events such as carnivals, “gotong-royong” and football tournaments. These initiatives are planned to be replicated in other LBS townships as well.

Internal Communication Apart from good bonding and building relationships, LBS also believes in ensuring that all staff is clear on the vision of the company and its yearly objectives. Therefore,

yearly
Internal
Communication Briefing at the beginning of the year. LBS invites all staff to ensure that they are aware of the company’s direction for the year. With this in place, staff are welcomed to share their thoughts and suggestions with the management.
LBS Club Through LBS club, activities inside and outside the office are organized to create a fun environment, promote team spirit and get to know each other. Activities such as bowling tournament, treasure hunt, monthly staff birthdays celebration and other activities are organized constantly.
Rewards System & Weekly Lunch LBS strongly believes that happy employees equal happy customers. Therefore, we believe that they are the most valuable asset in an organization. The management of LBS spends time in building a good rapport with staff, and one key activity to demonstrate this is by having a weekly lunch get-together within the department. This has since become a standard practice. The fair reward system is also implemented across LBS to reward all performing and loyal employees such as bonuses, career advancement opportunities, promotions and Employee Share Option. LBS also organises annual Employee Appreciation Night by throwing a gala dinner to celebrate employees.
