Sauk Rapids-Rice Community Education hosted an event that took participants back 70 years to the 1950s. The evening of May 6 featured classic cars, poodle skirts, hula hoops, slicked back hair, trivia, dancing and more. The two-hour event, which took place at Sauk Rapids-Rice Middle School in Sauk Rapids, played on the diner and drive-in theme and served hot dogs, sundaes and refreshments. The event was sponsored in part by the Hot Rod Hoodlums, Manea’s Meats, Kwik Trip and the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School DECA program.

APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA A motion was made by Holthaus, seconded by Morse and unanimously carried, by a margin of six, to approve the meeting’s “Agenda” as amended. The revision utilizes eLearning days for the second through seventh full day inclement weather/emergency closing days. The rst inclement weather or emergency full day closing will not be made up, the second through sixth closing will institute eLearning days for students and staff, and closings beyond the sixth will require in-person make up days. APPROVAL TO ADD LEVEL VI PARAPROFESSIONAL TIME A motion was made by Solarz, seconded by Holthaus and unanimously carried to approve an additional .75 hours Level VI Ride-A-Long paraprofessional time daily at Pleasantview for the remainder of the 2021 – 2022 school year. This request was based on student need. APPROVAL OF THE TENNIS COURT PROJECT BID A motion was made by Hauck, seconded by Braun and unanimously carried to approve the bid proposal from Duininck Inc., which awards Duininck Inc. the contract for the district/ city of Sauk Rapids tennis court project. Duininck Inc. provided the lowest bid. Project bids were opened at 2:00 p.m. on

She has been very generous with her time and talents in giving back to the community.

Office Assistant Position

Our company is looking for an office assistant in our Sauk Centre office to be responsible for creating, maintaining, and entering information into databases; handling incoming calls; aiding with customer reception; organizing and maintaining event supplies; organizing travel by booking accommodation and reservation needs as required; and performing other general office duties and errands. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 8 am-5pm and includes benefits.
