Petra is survived by her daughter Thelma Canales (Octavio) and son Servando Gonzalez Jr. Grandchildren; Analea Cavazos (Lauro), Rachel Canales (Jorge), Dana Canales, Marie Delilies Canales, Ricco A. González (Brenda), Andre A. González, Servando González Jr, & Marla Ann Ramos (Luis) and 13 great grandchildren. Her siblings: Antonia Romero, Juan Gaytan Jr., Marina Melendez, Mercedes Zuniga, Paz Vasquez, Arturo Gaytan(†) , Raul Gaytan(†), Guadalupe Gaytan(†) , Hortencia Alcázar(†), Imelda Jiménez(†) She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral service was held at Sanchez Funeral Home in Roma-Los Sáenz, Texas. Visitation was from 1pm to 8pm with Rosary at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass officiated by Rev. Pablo Wilham, at 10:00am on Monday June 26, 2023, Holy Family Catholic Church was followed by a graveside service at The Los Sáenz Cemetery, Roma-Los Sáenz, Texas.
God’s Garden God looked around his garden and found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, ‘Peace be thine.’ It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.
