Nothing screams ‘girl’s night out’ more than Pinky’s Rooftop Cocktail Bar and Restaurant! Pink walls, pink marble, and vintage glam are all reasons to check this place out! Make sure you order the Beauty School Dropout -a 3-foot-tall statue adorned with a pink cotton candy wig (and don’t forget the sparkling wine garnished with a pink boozy popsicle!)
Make your way down Main Street to Fifth Avenue for some live entertainment and, if sports is your thing, catch a game on one of their 40 HDTV’s, 14’ HD projection screen, or in their one-of-a-kind sports viewing area. Need a space for a private event? From the beautiful outdoor patio(great for pre-function cocktails) to the fully functional private second floor -they are ready to host your next meeting or celebration.

Sid Gold’s Request Room
Photo by Michelle Gerard, Published by Eater Detroit
Detroit’s first interactive piano bar where guests are encouraged to request songs, grab the mic and lead the crowd in a sing along to their favorite tunes. An evening at Sid Gold’s is like going to a house party where the host has a baby grand piano in the living room. The bar is divided into two rooms where guests can choose to slide up to the marble piano bar surrounded by cocktail memorabilia or grab a stool at the Baldwin piano bar in the back!
Our team had tons of fun seeking out and visiting new Detroit-area hot spots. There are tons of things to do in Detroit today and it was exciting to do some exploring on our own. It’s amazing to see how much the City has changed over the years. New buildings and storefronts. New parks with activity areas. And an expanding food scene that is dynamic and a true “foodie’s paradise.”
We had a great time creating this ‘Detroit Sampler’ for you. The best thing about our Detroit excursion was that we absolutely loved the new, fresh interactive businesses that we visited. We had so much fun when we were moving around and involved in the activities – less time sitting and more time participating and socializing. The ‘experiences’ added value to each outing and made us want to go back for more.
We are already planning our next metro Detroit highlights and can’t wait to share them with you. If you have a product or business that you would like us to visit, please reach out!
