About the Startups & the Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneur: Mylica Amedee The inspiration for creating new and interesting dishes comes from just opening up my cupboards and fridge. Coming up with something different with the same ingredients we use every day that’s what makes it fun. I think the true test of a great chef is keeping things simple yet alluring enough to keep customers coming back. Now, with over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, my desire for creating dishes and being better has never ceased. If anything, it has grown. Seeing that satisfying expression on someone’s face is all the motivation I need. My goal to one day have my own establishment to showcase what I am, is finally here, I am the proud owner of Melly’s mix it up, highlighting that local matters, serving affordable food without pretension, and reminding others that though food is a necessity for survival, a meal with friends and laughter is something much more! I am a proud mother of three beautiful boys who have always been my drive and inspiration to be more, to push and persevere. They are my biggest critics and taught me simplicity is best and cooking with love makes the food yummy.

Company: Melly’s Mix It Up.

Specializes in the mixing of fruits, vegetables, ice cream, chocolate, and coffee to bring you the best smoothies and many other treats.
