THE VIA VIKA PROJECT IS THE FIRST, AND CURRENTLY THE ONLY, BUILDING IN NORTHERN AND EASTERN EUROPE WITH CLOSED CAVITY FAÇADE (CCF) TECHNOLOGY. A CCF isa double-skin façade that has the ability to keep the pressure level equal throughout the lifecycle of the building. That is assured by dry air compressors which require a low level of maintenance. CCF is a special technology which allows a very good total heat transfer coefficient (up to 0,54 W/ m²K in the case of this project), while keeping a large glazing area. Another significant benefit of this façade solution is its 7
optimal use of daylight conditions. This solution also achieves improved sound insulation values when compared to similar solutions not using CCF systems. Furthermore, it allows the integration of blinds within the closed cavity, making them usable regardless of weather conditions. The building was designed using two different aluminium systems that are installed simultaneously, with two separate installation teams working on them. The building is cladded with Rosy Gold stainless steel patterned sheets covered with a titanium coating (T22) and natural stone panels. This façade is highly resistant to corrosion and will retain its colour. We will complete this project in June 2021.

This 102-metre-high office building is one of the highest skyscrapers in the Swedish capital. It has 27 floors, with each floor gradually extending its perimeter as the building goes up. This means the top floor is larger than the first by almost eight metres, an effect which is achieved by every facade step adding 283 mm in width. The colourful exterior façade is made up of three-
dimensional profiles that are either extruded, anodized or painted.The exterior also features enamel glass in 10 different colours developed exclusively for this project. The range of vivid façade colours and the two canopies, which are shaped like plane wings and made from mirror stainless steel, were chosen to brighten up the city during the dark winter months of this Nordic capital, when many inhabitants long to see the sun. Staticus began design work for Stockholm New in 2016 and the project was completed in 2021.

A WORLD-CLASS ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE, THE TELE2 ARENA WAS NAMED VENUE OF THE YEAR AT THE STADIUM BUSINESS AWARDS 2014. AS A HYBRID BETWEEN AN OUTDOOR STADIUM AND INDOOR ARENA, IT IS ONE OF THE WORLD’S MOST ADVANCED INTERNATIONAL STADIUMS. The perforated metal façade, with its distinctive wicker basket form, allows the form of the interior to be apparent before you have even

tered the arena. And from the inside, the ansparent external walls allow views of the rrounding city. Nordic materials – bright, robust d natural – were chosen for the arena. Staticus as responsible for the detailed design, brication, and installation of the external metal adding and all internal aluminum-glass façades.
"The finished arena is actually larger than the site’s footprint. Due to space and height limitations, the stadium has an asymmetric design as well - the north stand is taller and wider than the south stand. THE FAÇADE BEHIND THE SKELETON SUPERSTRUCTURE OF TWO NEW BAILEY SQUARE IS THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF STATICUS' OPEN MINDEDNESS REGARDING THE DESIGNING OF BESPOKE, ENERGY-EFFICIENT BUILDING ENVELOPES (GRADE A BREEAM “EXCELLENT” SPECIFICATION). One of key aspects of this project is the external structural steel frame, called an exoskeleton. Staticus was one of a very small number of companies that were able and willing to take on 10
the challenge of implementing the envelope behind it. The façade was premanufactured in Staticus' headquarters, and then safely transported over 2,500 km. The Staticus team developed a smarter solution for implementing the designer's ideas for the lower floors, proposing the use of beech LVL beams. These beams both increased the amount of internal space and reduced the amount of wood required, simultaneously ensuring outstanding surface quality and higher strength.

PRISMA IS A NINE-STOREY OFFICE BUILDING IN HELSINGBORG, SWEDEN THAT FEATURES A COMPLEX CONSTRUCTION. This project featured the first unitized façade with steel and glass constructions by Staticus, for which a new structural façade profile system was created. The design of the building includes enamelled and transparent triangular glass. This white and grey glass conveys the shimmer of the sea as it laps at the city’s shores. The entrance to the building consists of an inclined ’stick’ façade at an angle of around 60 degrees, and a prefabricated unitized facade inclined at 13 degrees. The triangular glass that forms the elemental façade is supported only at the lowest corner of each pane. Implementing this required a special support to be designed, while the aluminium corner pieces that are usually used to connect the frame were replaced with special steel structures. The project was completed in 2020.

BOTH MODERN AND FUNCTIONAL, THE FORNEBUPORTEN BUILDING COMPLEX IS DESIGNED TO BE WELCOMING AND TRANSPARENT WITH OPTIMIZED DAYLIGHT. ON THE GROUND FLOOR, THE CONTINUOUS CURTAIN WALL, WHICH STRETCHES FROM FLOOR TO FLOOR, ALLOWS A CEILING HEIGHT OF MORE THAN FIVE METERS. This project included a number of unique features that required tailored solutions. On the ground floor there is a continuous curtain wall that extends from floor to floor. This allows for a ceiling height of more than five meters. Meanwhile, the glazing systems used in the sunken courtyard provide additional daylight by reflecting water surfaces into the depth of the building. Furthermore, the building’s geometry consists of large cantilevers projecting over the ground floor and into the exterior landscape.

Accommodating building deflections and incorporating the sixth elevation to the exterior space beneath were also key challenges when implementing the special design for this building. The biggest challenge was to produce unitized facade units together with the interior wall including exterior venetian blinds and inner roller blinds, no additional works on-site for the interior wall, everything was done in the factory. 20 m length building cantilevers were also challenging for picking the right system solution for unitized facade considering building movements, deflections due to the 20 m cantilevers, to have a possibility to absorb the high deflections of the floors due to these large consoles. Thanks to the use of innovations in design, fabrication, and logistics, Staticus was able to successfully install a full enclosure for one of the biggest office complexes in Norway, all within a very limited time frame. The project was completed in 2016.

QUADRUM IS THE FIRST BUSINESS CENTRE IN LITHUANIA TO MEET BREAM REQUIREMENTS. IT IS COMPOSED OF 3 BUILDINGS WHICH VARY IN HEIGHT. The façade consists of 2100 unitized elements each of which is 2.5x3.2 meters or more. All of the elements are triple-glazed and decorated with anodized aluminium louvres which conceal automated ZIP-screens and regulate heat. Areas 13
of Opaque (spandrel) are covered with decorative glass that has been coated with silkscreen printing. Staticus won the “Lithuanian Product of the Year 2017” gold medal for the design, manufacture, and installation of QUADRUM’s complex façade. Quadrum was completed in 2016 ‘’The project is also notable for its tight Construction Timeframe: more than 24,000 square metres of aluminium façade elements were assembled and installed in just eight months.‘’ says Staticus’ Project Manager.

ABELS HUS’S façade is composed of 670 prefabricated wall elements which are made from systemic aluminum profiles that are covered with white colour aluminium composite panels on the outside, and anodized-perforated aluminum cassettes on the inside. All of the
façades are divided by unitized elements that are 2.4 meters wide and 3.6 meter high. This enables different combinations of glass and aluminum elements to be utilised in each panel. The project implemented a unique solution for façade elements that was able to achieve Uvalues of up to 0.55 W/m²K. Both the exterior and interior cladding elements were assembled into units in the factory, greatly saving on the time needed for later stages, and making it possible for the project to meet its planned deadline. Abels Hus was completed in 2017.

The building is a typical example of an expressed in-situ concrete frame with glazed cladding with an expressed two storey service zone at the top of the building. The architects were tasked with developing the tower ( which was built in 1963), for sustainable private rental residential use and commencing the regeneration of the area. STATICUS took part in refurbishing the building’s envelope and recladding. The scope of works included double-skin façades and mullion-transom façades. The work is characterized by its light, reflective material finish and the other façades deep, perforated aluminium coffers with floor to ceiling glazing. ‘’The cladding also accommodates natural ventilation openings behind perforated panels. Deep reveals to the
columns and cills reflect the light of the changing sky and the perforated ventilation panels cast different shadows and patterns. The project’s crowning glory is the conversion of the plant room on the roof into an amenity space for the residents. Now fully occupied, Vantage Point is probably the first purpose designed PRS building in London. '.’ The building’s fresh aesthetic has set the scene for the redevelopment of the entire area. Archway Tower opened on 1 September 2016.

KUGGEN – A TRULY UNIQUE PROJECT IN STATICUS PORTFOLIO. A PREFABRICATED UNITIZED WALL ELEMENTS FROM THERMAL PROFILES, ALUMINIUM-GLASS FAÇADES, DOORS AND INSIDE PARTITIONS, CERAMIC TILES CLADDING AND CUSTOMIZED SUN SHADING SYSTEM. The façade has a specially designed sunscreen system which moves around the building according to the path of the sun. A swivel screen mounted at the top of the buildingprovides extra shade to the upper floors, as well as electricity, as it moves around
the outer perimeter of the building, following the sun’s path. The sunscreen’s custom engine is based on a sensor system which uses energy provided from solar panels. The building's cylindrical form, meanwhile, offers lots of floor space in relation to the amount of exposed exterior wall surface, and the triangular windows provide both open-plan office landscapes and private offices with good daylight, reducing the need for artificial lighting. The KUGGEN construction was finished in March 2011. Staticus is especially proud of this unique project which gives the value for Göteborg city.

INTRODUCING FRESH PROGRAMS AND FUNCTIONS INTO A STRUCTURE THROUGH ADAPTIVE REUSE CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THE MAINTENANCE, REHABILITATION, DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT OF TARGETED AREAS WITHIN A CITY. Staticus installed 1260 façadeelements: 764 pcs. windows, 247 pcs. single door, 178 pcs. double door, 44 pcs. prefabricated facade elements and 27 pcs. steel door. What made this project unique was the fact that assembly was conducted simultaneously in two different countries. In Belgium the installation of products on concrete wall slabs was done in an architectural concrete plant, while in London, UK - products were installed directly on the construction site. Installation works commenced in February 2016, and were finished by their planned completion date of May 2017.

Adaptive reuse offers numerous opportunities for sustainable strategies which avoid the generation of construction and demolition waste. One example is the Hill House Archway project, a 1970s, 13-storey office building in Highgate, north London. This project included
the re-cladding of the building with a new, high performance façade designed, engineered, assembled, and installed by Staticus. Another aspect of the project was the conversion of all 12 floors for residential use.

TOTTENHAM HALE is a commercial and residential building in London that meets the highest environmental and design standards. All apartments have a terrace or balcony with balustrades and privacy screens to ensure the highest privacy level. Angular structures make up nearly half of all interconnected façade elements. Staticus has adapted a special type of lifting equipment known as "mobile Jibs" to help bypass the columns and make installing the panels more feasible. Staticus is also one of the first companies to use a newly developed façade element system in the Tottenham Hale project, allowing the integration of fully prefabricated sliding doors into façade elements. Staticus began design work in 2018 and will finish the project in 2021.

IT IS HORSESHOE-SHAPED, WITH A PARK IN THE MIDDLE. THE BUILDING’S ROOF TERRACES ARE COVERED WITH GRASS, WHILE THE TOP OF THE BUILDING OFFERS A WONDERFUL PANORAMA OF THE CITY AND A VIEW OF THE NEARBY FJORD. At the same time, it is the first building in the country, the entire façade of which will be made from the Hydro CIRCAL system, 75% of which consists of recycled aluminium. Production of this metal leaves a 77% lower CO2 footprint and requires just 5% of the energy compared to conventional aluminium production. It is no 22
coincidence that ØKERN PORTAL is recognised as being the greenest development in Norway. Designing ØKERN PORTAL has also been a unique experience for the Staticus team, as it is the first project we have implemented fully according to agile principles. Staticus began design work in November 2018, and finished the project in August 2020.
