A New Book A new book! A beautiful new book! Beautiful pictures, Beautiful stories, New games to play, New songs to sing. What fun we shall have reading this beautiful book!

1

The Creation All things bright and beautiful, All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful, The Lord God made them all. Each little flower that opens, Each little bird that sings, He made their glowing colors, He made their tiny wings. The rich man in his castle, The poor man at his gate, God made them, high or lowly, And order’d their estate. The purple headed mountain, The river running by, The sunset and the morning, That brightens up the sky. He gave us eyes to see them, And lips that we might tell How great is God Almighty, Who hath made all things well. —Cecil Alexander 3

Song of Creation

The Creation In heaven, up above Dwells the Father, God of love, He made the earth; He made the sky, The ocean wide, the mountains high, He made each flower and bird and tree, He made you, and He made me. He sends the snow; He sends the rain; He makes the flowers bloom again; And when the earth is bleak and bare; He feeds the birdies everywhere. —Berdice Moran 6

God Made All Things Mary ran to Little Yellow Daisy. She said, “Little Yellow Daisy, who made you?” Little Yellow Daisy said, “God made me. God made me for you. God made me because He loves you.” Mary threw a kiss to Little Yellow Daisy and ran on. 7

Soon she saw Big Oak Tree. Mary said, “Big Oak Tree, who made you?” Big Oak Tree said, “God made me. God made me for you. God made me because He loves you.” Mary threw a kiss to Big Oak Tree and ran on.

8

Soon she saw Big Red Apple. Mary said, “Big Red Apple, who made you?” Big Red Apple said, “God made me. God made me for you. God made me because He loves you.” Mary threw a kiss to Big Red Apple and ran on.

9

Soon she saw Singing Brook. Mary said, “Singing Brook, who made you?” Singing Brook said, “God made me. God made me for you. God made me because He loves you.” Mary threw a kiss to Singing Brook and ran on.

10

Soon she saw Blue Cloud. Mary said, “Blue Cloud, who made you?” Blue Cloud said, “God made me. God made me for you. God made me because He loves you.” Mary threw a kiss to Blue Cloud and ran on.

11

Soon she saw White Lamb. Mary said, “White Lamb, who made you?” White Lamb said, “God made me. God made me for you. God made me because He loves you.” Mary threw a kiss to White Lamb and ran on.

12

She ran home to her mother. She said, “ Mother dear, who made you?” Mother said, “God made me. God made Father. God made you, too. God made all things. He made all things for you. He made all things because He loves you.”

13

Mary said, ‘God made all things for me! How good God is! Thank You, dear God, thank You!”
