NEW VIRTUAL WORK EXPERI ENCE PROGRAMME We are all aware that getting work experience is a huge challenge for aspiring medics and this has been largely compounded by COVID. We are therefore delighted to have a genuinely brilliant solution. Partnering with Kissing It Better, a leading recognised by NHS England and the BMA, we will be giving students the opportunity to connect with these people through Zoom coordinated sessions to build up the key skills they will need during their medical training and career, while also importantly supporting a vulnerable demographic. Alongside the live Zoom calls, there will be a suite of learning modules to help you get the most out of this unique volunteering opportunity. We anticipate this programme being taken up by thousands of students globally as we are inundated with requests daily. The programme will be running in different countries, such as Australia, and live Zoom sessions will be taking place to accommodate for global time zones. PLEASE SHARE THIS LINK with your students so they can book on to the programme.

KPMG’s 2021 apprenticeship programmes are open for applications! For those looking to start their professional career, joining KPMG as an apprentice means being part of a team of inspiring colleagues who bring fresh ideas and curiosity to work that really matters.
About our apprenticeship experience
Our programmes offer apprentices the opportunity to work across different industries and are designed for those who have, or are about to, finish School or College - and span areas such as Audit, Software Engineering, KPMG Law and Data & Analytics. At KPMG, our apprentices gain valuable work experience, develop core skills and will be supported in their study towards fully funded professional qualifications and accreditations – all whilst earning a salary.
Support When apprentices join us, they’ll take part in a virtual induction week – an introduction to our firm, and a way for them to meet their peers, build valuable connections and feel a part of our community from day one. We’ll support them in their transition to the workplace too; providing them with a buddy, performance manager, access new joiner forums and range of learning opportunities which will allow them to shape their own development. We’re also investing in workplace tools and technologies that enable us to collaborate and stay connected whether we’re working at home, in our offices or at engagement sites. Please note: Audit and Software Engineering apprenticeships are currently open. Further programme launches will follow later this month. Those interested can sign up to our Talent Community to be one of the first to hear when these become available.
Our places fill fast, so we'd encourage applications as soon as possible

A fully-funded opportunity to experience life and study at Cambridge Thanks to a generous philanthropic commitment to the Foundation Year, no tuition fees will be charged for the course. Students admitted to the Foundation Year will also receive a full scholarship to cover rent and other living costs. All Foundation Year students who complete the programme with a Pass or above will receive a recognised Level 4 CertHE qualification from the University of Cambridge, which will enable them to access a wide range of undergraduate level courses. Those attaining at 65% or higher will be able - should they wish to do so - to progress straight through to a full undergraduate degree at Cambridge in one of eighteen courses in the arts, humanities and social sciences. You can find out more here: www.cam.ac.uk/foundationyear Interested students will need to apply directly to the Foundation Year via UCAS by the January 2022 deadline for study beginning in October 2022. The academic entry requirement is 120 UCAS points. This is equivalent to BBB at A-Level, but allows for easy equivalence of a wide range of Level 3 qualifications, and for fair consideration of combinations of qualifications such as BTECs and A-Levels. This level has been chosen because we believe it represents an achievable level of attainment for candidates who have had nonAcademic requirements for Foundation Year entry traditional journeys to higher education while also providing evidence of a firm academic foundation from which students will have a good chance of progressing to Cambridge from the programme.
