What is Access to Leeds? The Access to Leeds scheme allows us to identify students who have the potential to succeed at the university but who may not be able to demonstrate their talents through grades alone. Eligible applicants who receive an offer from the University also receive an Access to Leeds offer up to two A level grades (or equivalent) below their standard offer. For example, AAA is reduced to ABB. The Access to Leeds alternative offer is conditional on the applicant making the University of Leeds their firm choice and successfully completing the Access to Leeds module. This module focuses on the development of essential study skills and provides an opportunity to complete work for the academic department the student hopes to study with. Further information on the module can be found here.

Application Deadlines Access to Leeds applications must be received by the following deadlines: For Medicine and Dentistry applicants: Wednesday, 6th November 2019 For applicants to all other courses: Wednesday, 26th February 2020 It would be beneficial to the applicant if their Access to Leeds application form is submitted as soon as possible after the submission of their UCAS application. Applicants must also submit their UCAS application by the relevant UCAS deadlines.

DEADLINES ADMISSIONS TESTS Some Universities require students to complete admissions tests. It is imperative that students who are considering applying to competitive courses— in particular medicine— research the entrance test deadlines and processes required. Information about these tests is available on the UCAS website and students should contact Alison Rayner our Exams Officer to arrange the tests through college on alison.rayner@stbrn.ac.uk or pop in to see Alison in Room B101Q. For more information on courses requiring admissions tests, please click here

All other applicants 2nd December – college internal deadline for completed UCAS applications. As with early applicants; it will take us up to two weeks to process applications to ensure that references are completed and applications are checked thoroughly for errors before sending to UCAS by the deadline of 15th January.
