BEAUTIFUL THING BY JONATHAN HARVEY Beautiful Thing Beautiful Thing is a play about gay teenage love, about the transition from adolescence to adulthood, boy to man, girl to woman. It deals with themes of sexuality, bullying, homophobia and ultimately love. It’s also a joyful, uplifting play set in the early nineties and filled with a nostalgic soundtrack sung performed by a community choir. REACT: Beautiful Thing is hosted by our Young Producers and will feature a post-show discussion chaired by young people for young people, interrogating the themes of the show. Join us for an evening of theatre and discussion! With invited experts and panellists, we’ll dive into the themes of the play and ask how relevant they are in today’s society. AT: TOBACCO FACTORY THEATRES ON: FRIDAY, 19TH OCTOBER 2018 TIME: 7.30PM START
