BOY'S FOOTBALL CHELTENHAM TOWN PPP RESULT: 4-2 WIN SCORERS: SMITH, ARCHER X2, SADY
ELITE SQUAD REDS MATCH SUMMARY Our elite squad reds were back in league action this week. We faced Pro Direct Academy: South Devon in this home league fixture.
Henry Sady soon took one of his, making the score 3-1. Sam Archer later secured his third brace of the season, which made it 4-1.
Two goals either side of half time was enough to secure victory, taking the Reds’ total goal tally past the 40 mark for the season in league and cup.
PDA did manage to score another consolation goal.
Jack Smith put us in front with a nice finish. However, we were pegged back. The score wasn’t level for long though, as Sam Archer restored our lead which we took into half time. In the second half, we showed our quality and continued to control the game and keep good possession. This allowed us to keep creating chances.
That aside, we maintain our 100% league record and in this kind of form, our next game can't come soon enough. Starting 11: Manning, Jackson, Davies, Humphreys, Mapstone, Jaworski, Cummings, Adebo, Sady, Archer, Prior Subs: Smith
BOY'S FOOTBALL CHELTENHAM TOWN PPP RESULT: 9-0 WIN SCORERS: GIFFORD-HOBBS X3, MENGOUD, POWELL X2, BROCK, HIGHCOCK X2
ELITE SQUAD BLUES MATCH SUMMARY It was a goal fest as far as our Elite Blues were concerned this week. They were back to winning ways in this home league fixture against Strode College. The score means that all three of our teams have now hit 9 goals in a match this season. Riley Gifford-Hobbs started us off and continued his impressive goal-scoring form with his first goal for the elite squad. Djafar Mengoud soon made it 2-0 and it soon became clear that it was going to be one of those days. Captain Dylan Powell made it 3-0 before Riley GiffordHobbs gave us a four-goal lead to take into half time. Bill Brock is another player who continued his impressive goal-scoring form. He took his chance with the elite squad by scoring his ninth of the season with another free kick. That’s now four goals direct from free kicks for Bill Brock this season.
Dylan Powell bagged his brace for our sixth and Riley Gifford-Hobbs completed his hat-trick. That’s back-to-back hat-tricks for Riley, who now goes top of the goal scorer charts for the entire programme. Deep in the second half, Ben Highcock still had time to bag his fourth brace of the season, making it 9-0 to complete the scoring. Once again, lots of positives to take from this one. A thoroughly dominant performance, nine goals and a first clean sheet of the season. That scoreline meant that Wednesday's combined 13 goals in back-to-back home games takes the total goal tally (league and cup) for the entire CT PPP so far to 111 goals. Starting 11: Box, Powell, Tazaoui, Brock, Thomas, Gyimah-Sarpong, Waters, Mengoud, Aden, GiffordHobbs, Highcock

LUNCHTIME ENRICHMENT SPORT MONDAY & TUESDAY BASKETBALL Another week of lunch club was kicked off with basketball. Once again, it proved popular. The participating students split themselves into two groups and shared the two big hoops and each end of the sports hall evenly. The two groups then split into two teams and faced each other in singlehoop matches. The atmosphere was great and the vibe was positive.
BADMINTON A good number of students participated in Tuesday's badminton again this week. Students took part in a doubles matches before facing each other individually. It was competitive but fun and everyone tasted victory at least once.
