The Bottle Yard Studios Business Administration Apprenticeship The Bottle Yard Studios (TBYS) is a successful film and TV studio facility located in south Bristol. Owned and managed by Bristol City Council (BCC), TBYS is proud to form part of the Culture & Creative Industries department of the Council. The Business Administration apprentice will (mainly) support the Business Manager in the finance heavy aspects of their role. Other aspects of the role include supporting the site co-ordination team with practical day to day tasks. We are looking for some-one with primarily with an interest in business administration. The role would suit some-one looking to obtain experience in all aspects of business and finance but who also has an interest in progressing a career within a TV production office environment. This apprenticeship is less suited to some-one who wants to specifically work in TV within a technical, design or creative role.

Reality Check This role may involve working within industrial and unheated warehouse space(s) as well as working outdoors. The working environment is safe, but it is important that candidates are aware that the role is not entirely (although pre-dominantly) desk based. Desired Qualifications None required—however, applications without GCSE Grade A*-C (9 to 4) or equivalent and English will need to complete an assessment

JOBS AND APPRENTICESHIPS Magnox/Energus Apprenticeship Nuclear Operative—Level 2 Hinkley Point A, Somerset Applicant’s must be aged 18 or over Magnox ltd is a subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommisionsing Authority (NDA) responsible for the safe and secure clean up of 12 nuclear sites and operation of one hydro-electric plant across the UK. Requirements  5 GCSE’s in the 9-2 (A*-D) range, or an appropriate level 1 qualification.  Effective oral and written communication skills  Problem solving/attention to detail and a proactive approach  Commitment to safety  Flexible attitude  Apprentices will develop their experience and knowledge throughout their apprenticeship and are expected to initially bring a willingness and enthusiasm to learn from the experiences and opportunities presented to them throughout the course of their time with the Company.  37 hours per week  1st Year—£9,554  Year and a half £11,416  2nd Year—£15,796  Travel, accommodation and meals included  Due to the remote location of the site, own transport is required.

If you’re in Year 12 or first year of college, our Discover Brookes 2020 Summer Schools are the perfect opportunity for you to experience four days in the life of a university student - including staying over in halls, working with Brookes students, and meeting people with similar interests to you. 30th June—3rd July—Technology, Environment and Creative Arts 7th July-10th Jul—Humanities and Social Sciences 14th July—17th July—Business Management 21st July-24th Jul—Healthcare, Life and sport science. 

It's time to apply for student finance! Going to uni or college this year? If you’ll be studying a full-time undergraduate course, it’s time to get your student finance sorted. It can take up to six weeks to process your application, so be sure to apply as soon as you can. If your application is late, your money might be too. It’s quick and easy to apply online – you’ll just need your passport and National Insurance number. If you’re a new student, you need to apply before 22 May to get your money in time for the start of your course, so what are you waiting for? Follow our three easy steps now.

Having assessed our position in relation to guidance set out by Government, we are taking the decision to close the College to all th students from Wednesday 18 March at 2:30pm. This means that from this point onwards, no lessons will be running at College and no students will be permitted to be on College site until further notice.
