WHY VOLUNTEER?

Undoubtedly, volunteering improves mental health and wellbeing. Volunteering can give you a feeling of purpose, you will meet like-minded people and you will feel proud of your accomplishments. It's a great thing to do if you are feeling unmotivated/disconnected! You can connect to the environment and nature. You can contribute to the local community and make new friends You can learn new skills You can support other people You can prepare yourself for your career! Volunteering can give you the opportunity to find out if you like a particular industry, whilst also giving you plenty to talk about on job applications/in interviews if you do! Job applications often expect young people to already have experience, which can feel so frustrating when you are only at the beginning of your career path. Volunteering is an excellent way to get you on that ladder so that you can apply to your dream roles in the future.
