Girls will learn what it takes for gardens to grow, how to compost, and how to plant herbs for the kitchen. Each camper will also learn the beauty from gardens with floral arrangements. Lauren Stretka is a teacher working with English language learners in Metro Nashville Public Schools and is excited to share her hobby of gardening with girls this summer! Girls will be guided through the exciting process of authoring and illustrating their very own book in this camp! Campers will learn brainstorming activities, essentials for writing, and how to add illustrations that extend a story, all while receiving personalized help. Girls will leave with their story in a hard-bound book. SCA librarian Lisa Keelan will teach this camp. This camp is for girls who love sports and physical games! We will play volleyball, kickball, dodgeball, capture the flag, basketball and more as we exercise and develop team building in our games and competitions. SCA activities director Margaret Pyburn ’93 is a former PE teacher and she is excited to teach this camp!
